AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) can now export data from a wider range of commercial data warehouses. You can convert and extract data from legacy versions of Teradata (version 13 and above) and Oracle Data Warehouse (version 10g and above) for direct import into Amazon Redshift, without first performing an in-place upgrade.
This AWS SCT update also makes it easier to select data for export. You can quickly locate objects in large, complex schemas, and filter precise subsets of data for migration. In addition, conversion rules have been enhanced to convert more of the source schema to an open source database target automatically.
AWS Schema Conversion Tool makes it easy to migrate from commercial databases and data warehouses to open source based solutions in the cloud. For more information, please visit the AWS SCT product page and review the documentation. The latest version can be downloaded for Windows, Mac, Fedora, and Ubuntu.
