Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights for .NET and SQL Server extends support to AWS X-Ray, to help customers get further visibility into the issues impacting the health of their applications. Starting today, customers using AWS X-Ray to instrument their .NET and SQL Server applications will be able to view trace-level metrics, including number of requests, faults, errors, throttles, and average latency, for the impacted resources on CloudWatch Application Insights. The automated dashboards created for problems detected additionally provides customers visibility into the related alarms, log errors, and events, enabling customers troubleshoot ongoing problems and reduce their mean time to resolution (MTTR). Customers can also drill down into service map for this application using CloudWatch ServiceLens to investigate further.
Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights enables observability for your .NET and SQL Server based applications and underlying AWS resources. Getting started is easy; you can set up important monitors for your applications using a few clicks in the CloudWatch console. For the detected issues, you can use CloudWatch Automatic Dashboards to visualize problem details, helping application owners troubleshoot faster and reduce their mean time to resolution. CloudWatch Application Insights is available in all AWS public regions at no additional charge, you pay for monitoring data set up on CloudWatch.
