AWS has updated Serverless Bot Framework, an AWS Solutions Implementation that automatically sets up a chatbot application with sample interactions for the chatbot. The solution makes use of AWS services, such as AWS Lambda, to implement the machine learning logic of the chatbot and Amazon Polly to turn text responses into lifelike speech.
The solution now shows customers how to securely integrate their bots with third party APIs and use live data in their chat interactions. The solution has two new parameters available upon the creation of the solution, API Key and API provider. These new parameters allow the use of third-party APIs to get weather data. The API keys are stored securely in AWS Systems Manager. The customer feedback interactions in the chatbot are now stored in a DynamoDB table. The stored feedback data can subsequently be analyzed to support business objectives. Learn more about Serverless Bot Framework on AWS, see the AWS Solutions Implementation webpage.
