AWS Transfer Family now supports creating Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) hosted server endpoints in centrally managed and shared Amazon VPC environments, helping you meet your compliance requirements as you segment your AWS environment using tools such as AWS Landing Zone for security, cost monitoring, and scalability.
AWS Transfer Family provides fully managed Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP) over TLS, and FTP support for Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), enabling you to seamlessly migrate your file transfer workflows to AWS. With this launch, when an owner account shares their Amazon VPC environment with you, you can create a server using AWS Transfer Family and host its endpoint inside the owner’s VPC environment. This feature is available using the AWS Management Console, CLI/API/SDKs, and using AWS CloudFormation.
AWS Transfer Family support for shared Amazon VPC environments is available in all Regions where AWS Transfer Family is available. Access the AWS Transfer Family console to get started.
