Today, AWS Marketplace launched the ability for customers to easily upgrade and/or renew existing commitments for upfront contract pricing for AMI and Container products, which launched in Nov. 2021. Now, buyers can opt-in to auto-renew their existing contracts and/or increase the number of licenses in their commitment, allowing them to keep up with ever-changing business needs and accommodate expanding workloads on AWS.
Buyers can now navigate to the subscription page for the upfront contract pricing AMI or Container product they would like to modify. On the subscription page, the customer can opt-in to auto-renew a public offer contract or increase the number of licenses purchased. Once the customer makes a change, they can click on the modify contract button to commit the changes. The new terms go into effect immediately and the previous terms are overwritten, with no interruption to thier existing service. Customers can opt-out of auto renewals using the same process.
To learn more about how you can modify your existing commitment for AMI and Container upfront contract pricing based products please review the AWSMP Buyers Guide documentation.
