Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights now offers support for observability of SAP NetWeaver applications. AWS customers running SAP workloads such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP and SAP Business Warehouse on AWS can now observe the entire SAP stack, from AWS infrastructure all the way to the SAP applications. This launch builds on our previous announcement of observability for SAP HANA databases, delivering full stack monitoring of SAP on AWS workloads. With this launch, you can also monitor high availability systems leveraging SAP NetWeaver and Amazon Elastic File System.
Onboarding your NetWeaver-based applications is easy— with 3 clicks in your AWS Management console you can enable monitoring, then preselect the metrics, logs and alarms for security, availability, and performance. These metrics are used to create an application health dashboard that helps SAP administrators view, search and sort any problems. CloudWatch Application Insights continuously analyzes the data sources being monitored across the application resources to discover metric anomalies and log errors. It detects problems in your application by correlating observations across the various layers using classification algorithms, built-in rules and generates reports to notify and take actions on these problems.
Application Insights for NetWeaver will be available in all commercial regions, including AWS GovCloud (US). To learn more about observability for SAP workloads on AWS, visit the Amazon CloudWatch Application Insights documentation.
