AWS Supply Chain is a pay-as-you-go, cloud supply chain management application offering a data lake, insights, and demand planning capabilities. Pay only for what you use. There are no required upfront licensing fees or long-term contracts.
AWS Supply Chain data storage and services
The AWS Supply Chain data lake combines an extensible canonical data model (CDM), data governance, data storage, and data transformation capabilities. The data lake uses machine learning (ML) models to understand, extract, and transform disparate data into a unified data model. Additionally, the data lake can ingest data from a variety of sources, including your existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other supply chain management systems. You are charged $0.28 for each hour your instance is running, which includes data import and the first 10 GB of storage. For additional data storage above the included 10 GB, you are charged $0.25 per GB stored per month.
AWS Supply Chain Insights data usage
AWS Supply Chain Insights analyzes your supply chain data in the data lake to provide actionable insights to improve resilience against demand fluctuations and supply chain disruptions. You are charged based on the number of product SKU (or item) location combinations used for the generated insights. A product SKU location combination is defined as the combination of the number of product SKUs by the number of physical locations (such as stores, warehouses, and fulfillment centers). For example, one product SKU that is in three warehouse locations equals three product SKU location combinations. You are charged a tiered price ranging from $0.13 to $0.40 per SKU location combination.
AWS Supply Chain Demand Planning data usage
AWS Supply Chain Demand Planning forecasts demand using ML. You are charged based on the number of product SKU location combinations used to generate demand forecasts. You are charged a tiered price ranging from $0.10 to $0.30 per SKU location combination.
AWS Supply Chain Supply Planning data usage
Supply Planning uses the demand forecasts created by AWS Supply Chain Demand Planning (or other demand planning tools), along with data about product, facility, bill of materials (BOM), and inventory to generate transfer, production, and purchase plans. Customers can share these supply plans with multiple tiers of their external trading partners using AWS Supply Chain N-Tier Visibility. A component SKU location combination (CSLC) is defined as the combination of the number of component SKUs (products, components, or raw materials) by the number of physical locations (such as store, warehouses, and fulfillment centers). You are charged a tiered price ranging from $.0.30 to $0.10 for the first 1,000,000 CSLCs. If using more than 1,000,000 CSLCs, please call for pricing.
AWS Supply Chain N-Tier Visibility
AWS Supply Chain N-Tier Visibility streamlines communication between customers and multiple tiers of suppliers, improving their ability to more accurately respond to supply plans, as well as manage demand or supply changes during the execution window. Supply Planning and Insights customers can use N-Tier Visibility to publish forecasts and confirm orders with multiple tiers of suppliers, improving the accuracy of planning and execution of processes. N-Tier Visibility is included in the pricing of Supply Planning and Insights.
AWS Supply Chain Sustainability data usage
AWS Supply Chain Sustainability creates a secure and efficient way for sustainability professionals to obtain documents and datasets from their supplier network. You are charged per data requests sent per month. You are charged a tiered price ranging from $3.00 to $6.00 per request for the first 10,000 data requests. If using more than 10,000 data requests per month, please reach out for pricing.

- 10 GB of data storage
Pricing examples
Example 1
An AWS Supply Chain customer in the US East (N. Virginia) Region needs better visibility into their supply chain network. They upload 50 GB of their supply chain data into AWS Supply Chain. Additionally, they use AWS Supply Chain Insights to generate a projected inventory view and ML insights across their 25,000 product SKU location combinations. Based on usage, the monthly AWS Supply Chain bill would be as follows:
Data storage
Data storage hours: 30 days x 24 hours x $0.28 = $201.60 per month
Additional data storage: 40 GB of additional data storage (since the data storage includes the first 10 GB free) at $0.25 per GB, per month = 40 GB x $0.25 = $10 per month
Total data storage price = data storage hours ($201.6) + additional data storage ($10) = $211.60
*This may not be the absolute total data storage price if they're also paying for Amazon S3.
AWS Supply Chain Insights data usage
Product SKU location combination: 25,000
Tier 1: 25,000 product SKU location combinations x $0.40 (Tier 1 price) = $10,000
Total monthly price: data storage total ($211.6) + AWS Supply Chain Insights data usage total ($10,000) = $10,211.60
Example 2
An AWS Supply Chain customer in the US West (Oregon) Region wants to view machine learning-based vendor lead time insights and improve supply chain planning. They upload 450 GB of historical supply chain data into AWS Supply Chain. They have 2,500 products (or items) and four distribution centers. These two variables are used to calculate usage; 2,500 items across four locations = 10,000 product/item/location combinations. They are using AWS Supply Chain to generate a projected inventory view and ML insights across all locations; given not all products are carried at all locations, this equates to a total of 4,000 product item location combinations. They are using AWS Supply Chain Demand Planning and Supply Planning to generate a forecast and replenishment plan for all products, 10,000 product item location combinations. Lastly, they are also using N-Tier Visibility to send and receive 500 supplier data requests per month.
Based on usage, the monthly AWS Supply Chain bill would be as follows:
Data storage
Data storage hours: 30 days x 24 hours x $0.28 = $201.60 per month
Additional data storage: 440 GB of additional data storage (since the data storage includes the first 10 GB free) at $0.25 per GB, per month = 440 GB x $0.25 = $110 per month
Total data storage price = data storage hours ($201.60) + additional data storage ($110) = $311.60
*This may not be the absolute total data storage price if they're also paying for Amazon S3.
AWS Supply Chain Insights data usage
Product item location combinations: 4,000
Tier 1: 4,000 item location combinations x $0.40 (Tier 1 price) = $1,600
Total AWS Supply Chain Insights data usage = Tier 1 = $1,600
AWS Supply Chain Demand Planning data usage
Product item location combinations: 10,000
Tier 1: 10,000 item location combinations x $0.30 (Tier 1 price) = $3,000
Total AWS Supply Chain Demand Planning data usage = Tier 1 = $3,000
AWS Supply Chain Supply Planning and N-Tier Visibility data usage
Component item location combinations: 10,000
Tier 1: 10,000 component SKU location combinations x $0.30 (Tier 1 price) = $3,000
Total AWS Supply Chain Supply Planning and N-Tier Visibility data usage = Tier 1 = $3,000
AWS Supply Chain Sustainability data usage
Data requests per month: 5,000
Tier 1: 500 Data Requests x $6.00 (Tier 1 price) = $3,000
Total AWS Supply Chain Supply Sustainability data usage = Tier 1 = $3,000
Total monthly price: data storage total ($311.60) + AWS Supply Chain Insights data usage total ($1,600) + AWS Supply Chain Demand Planning data usage total ($3,000) + AWS Supply Chain Supply Planning and N-Tier Visibility data usage total ($3,000) + AWS Supply Chain Sustainability data usage total ($3,000) = $10,911.60
