- Since 2019, the National Football League (NFL) has leveraged AWS’s cloud computing, data analytics, and machine learning (ML) capabilities to enhance the League’s operations and fan experience
- AWS powers the NFL’s Next Gen Stats platform, which uses advanced data analytics and machine learning to provide deeper insights into player and team performance
- Data such as player speed, acceleration, separation from defenders are collected and used by broadcasters, teams, and fans, to analyze plays, performance, and game strategy in great details
- AWS and the NFL collaborate on using machine learning to analyze data related to injuries, including assessing the impact of on-field contact, with the goal of reducing injuries and improving player safety
- The partnership extends to the NFL Combine, where AWS technology is used to analyze athlete performance during drills. This data is then used by teams to make more informed decisions during the draft

How long is online version of NFL GameDay Digital Experience?
Each session of the online NFL GameDay digital experience will be available for a 12-hour window. Participants can join at any point during this period, but once they begin, they must complete all challenges within 3 hours. At the end of the 12-hour window, all active sessions will automatically close.

Are there any prizes for the winners of the AWS NFL GameDay Digital Expereince?
Yes, we track winners from all sessions and award prizes to the top 10 performers each month. Each winner will be contacted to confirm their address for prize delivery.

Who can participate and what can you expect?
AWS GameDay events are hands-on learning opportunities recommended for system administrators, solutions architects, technical account managers, developers and other technical roles of all skill levels. You will use the AWS Management Console extensively, as well as live AWS services to apply your technical knowledge to the challenges. AWS GameDay events cover a wide variety of cloud domains, so as long as you have some experience working on AWS, there will be lots of work for you to do!

What are the participation requirements?
AWS will provide all of the infrastructure and technology that you need in order to work through the different scenarios. You just need the following items:
- Computer for hands-on participation
- Firefox or Chrome browser
- Microphone for voice chat and Camera for better interaction (highly encouraged)
- SSH client pre-installed: Putty (Windows) or SSH (Mac)
- AWS Command Line Tools (AWS CLI)
- Remote Desktop Client (RDP)
