Overview
With Amazon FSx for OpenZFS, you pay only for the resources you use and there are no minimum fees or setup charges. While pricing is quoted on a monthly basis, your usage is prorated by the second, and you are billed for your average usage over a month.

Pricing example 1: Multi-AZ Deployment
Assume you want to store up to 10 TB of enterprise application share and user share data using Multi-AZ SSD storage in the US East (N. Virginia) Region. Based on typical compression savings of 50%, you provision 5 TB storage capacity for you file system, and based on your workload preformance needs, you provision 320 MBps of throughput capacity. Assume you have an average backup storage of 5 TB during the month.
Storage: 5 TB * $0.18 per GB-month = $922/mo
Throughput: 320 MB/s * $0.87 per MB/s-month = $278/mo
Total monthly charge (excluding backups): $1,200 ($0.117/GB-month for 10TB of data)
Backups: 5 TB * $0.05 GB-month = $256/mo
Total monthly charge (including backups): $1,456 ($0.142/GB-month for 10TB of data)
Pricing example 2: Single-AZ 2 Deployment
Assume you want to store 128 GB of data for short-term image ML training workload on Single-AZ 2 SSD storage in the US Easy (N. Virginia) Region. You provision a 128GB Single-AZ file system with throughput capacity of 160 MBps, and use this file system for 12 hours (43,200 seconds) in a 30-day month. Assume you have not activated compression, and have not used any backup storage.
Total charge:
Storage: 128 GB * $0.09 per GB-month * 43,200 seconds / (86,400 seconds/day * 30 day-month) = $0.192
Throughput: 160 MBps x $0.26 per MB/s-month * 43,200 seconds / (86,400 seconds/day * 30 day-month) = $0.693
Total charge: $0.885 ($1.77/day for a file system)
