Automate Essentials covers operating system and third-party patching plus software deployment and device configuration. Automate Enterprise builds on Essentials by adding plug-and-play automation scripts, immediate execution, multi-organization management, and core remote control. Automox Resolve Powered by Splashtop is an add-on module, not a standalone plan. You layer it onto a core plan to add endpoint remote control. Your total cost scales with the endpoint count you subscribe to across each selected dimension.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
An endpoint is any device the lightweight agent installs on, including laptops, desktops, servers, virtual machines, and containers. Each virtual machine counts as one endpoint even when sharing a host. Each dimension is sold in units of 10 endpoints, so you buy in blocks of ten.
You are billed upfront for the endpoints you subscribe to at your per-endpoint rate. Each endpoint added above your subscription bills at the same rate, annualized and prorated for the rest of your term. Subscribing to your expected count keeps billing predictable.
You choose one core plan, Automate Essentials or Automate Enterprise, priced per 10 endpoints. Automox Resolve Powered by Splashtop is a separate add-on module you layer on top, also priced per 10 endpoints. Both charges apply together on the same invoice and scale with your endpoint count.

What do you like best about the product?
Automox being one of the most helpful and easy to use tool for your endpoint management and endpoint automation platform which helps you to patch and update and even find 3rd party vulnerabilities on your platform.
The UI is quite streamlined where you can create policy based on location, department and even region and patch your endpoint just by installing Automox agent on endpoint.
I like the different features tool set which comes with Automox like software configuration, endpoint asset management and even reporting.

I dislike the security offerings which is limited with Automox because Automox security offering is more of remediation security rather than actual threat detection.
I am using endpoint management platform so I would expect the basic security features like at least malware detection but not possible in Automox.

We are solving problems like Patching our endpoints with policy based automation thus helping us to reduce manual effort and thus save times as well for IT team.
Managing software's or 3rd party applications like Chrome, slack, zoom etc. keeping those update to date with latest version and releases.
So patching is more more easier with Automox because we can pick up and particular vulnerability as well and we can apply to endpoints rather than applying all the vulnerabilities.

Effortless Patching and Scheduling with Automox

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease with which I can schedule reboots and patching with Automox. I can stage everything effectively and even add personal scripts for additional actions on specific servers, which is great. Automox makes it easy to schedule our patching on a rotating basis, which helps ensure updates are only deployed to mission-critical servers after they've been verified as effective on test servers. This structured process is really important for us.

Automox simplifies server patching, allowing us to deploy updates on different server types efficiently. It schedules patching on a rotating schedule and lets us use custom scripts for specific actions. This approach helps us verify patches on test servers before updating critical ones.

What do you like best about the product?
Automation and speed are the biggest wins for me. Compared to other tools, Automox can patch my entire org in a single weekend. We originally purchased it for vulnerability management, but after seeing the product in action, we quickly pivoted to using it for full patching as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main areas where I’d like to see more innovation are detailed, customizable notifications and stronger executive reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for vulnerability and patch management, and I also use worklets to push software.
