    Overview

Private File Sharing and Collaboration on Your Own AWS Infrastructure

OwnCloud Infinite Scale by Code Creator gives organizations a private, cloud-ready workspace for storing, sharing, and collaborating on files inside their own AWS account. Built for teams that need full control over file access and hosting, it turns a new EC2 instance into a browser-based file portal - without requiring administrators to assemble and troubleshoot a Docker deployment from scratch.

    How It Works

The AMI runs on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS and packages OwnCloud Infinite Scale with Docker Compose. The first-launch experience is designed for a clean customer handoff:

    • Fresh credential generation - Administrator credentials are created at launch, with no previous accounts, customer files, certificates, or build credentials retained on the AMI
    • Guided HTTPS configuration - The setup walks administrators through trusted HTTPS configuration for secure browser access
    • Flexible domain options - Use the included no-domain quick-start hostname for fast deployment, or enter your own public domain for a stable production address
    • Browser-based management - Once setup is complete, authorized users sign in through the web interface to organize folders, upload and download files, and share documents

Built on a Proven Open-Source Foundation

OwnCloud Infinite Scale is a modern file collaboration platform with a backend rewritten in Go and Vue.js. The underlying platform supports features including:

    • Spaces for organized team file sharing and project workspaces
    • WebDAV file access for flexible client connectivity
    • End-to-end encryption support for sensitive document workflows
    • Full-text search with filtering and highlighting
    • Custom user roles for granular access control
    • File Firewall and antivirus (ICAP) capabilities for content protection
    • Drag-and-drop uploads, link sharing, and cloud importer tools
    • Accessibility (WCAG) support for inclusive team collaboration

OwnCloud is backed by organizations including CERN and supports enterprise extensions for organizations with over 500 users.

    Use Cases

    • Internal file portals - Centralize team documents in a private workspace where your organization controls access and data residency
    • Client file delivery - Share project deliverables, contracts, or media assets with external stakeholders through secure links without relying on third-party cloud storage
    • Project workspaces - Give cross-functional teams a shared environment to organize, review, and collaborate on project files
    • Remote team collaboration - Provide distributed teams with a single, browser-accessible location for document exchange and version management
    • Self-hosted compliance environments - Organizations that require data to remain within their own AWS account can maintain full custody of files and access logs

    Clean, Redistribution-Ready AMI

The AMI is prepared with no previous customer files, administrator accounts, certificates, or build credentials retained. Each launch produces a fresh, isolated deployment within your AWS account.

    Highlights

    • Zero-Configuration Docker Deployment on AWS Skip the complexity of assembling and troubleshooting a Docker Compose deployment from scratch. This AMI packages OwnCloud Infinite Scale as a ready-to-run deployment on your EC2 instance. Launch the instance, follow the guided first-run workflow, and reach a working file portal - no manual container orchestration, no build artifacts, and no previous customer data retained on the image.
    • Security-Hardened From First Boot Every launch generates fresh, unique administrator credentials so you never inherit stale defaults. Trusted HTTPS is configured during the guided setup - press Enter for a no-domain quick-start hostname or provide your own public domain for a stable business address. The AMI is security-hardened and prepared cleanly for redistribution, reducing your attack surface from the moment the instance starts.
    • Full-Featured File Collaboration With Spaces, Tags, and Search Access your private cloud workspace through the browser or via WebDAV. OwnCloud Infinite Scale includes Spaces for organized team file sharing, tags for classification, full-text search with filtering and highlighting, link sharing, drag-and-drop uploads, custom user roles, and a cloud importer. Built on a modern Go and Vue.js backend, it supports enterprise-scale collaboration.
