HCLTech’s Hybrid FinOps Maturity Assessment

• Hybrid FinOps Maturity Assessment is developed over years of practice and experience by our certified pool of FinOps Practitioners. Our Hybrid FinOps practice has 3 key iterative stages:1. Inform, 2. Optimize and 3. Govern (in-line with FinOps Foundation). The assessment focuses on key lenses of Knowledge, Process, Metrics, Adoption and Automation focusing across 5 Domains laid out by FinOps Foundation i.e. 1. Understanding Cloud Usage and Cost (Inform Stage), 2. Performance Tracking, Benchmarking & Decision Making (Inform), 3. Cloud Rate Optimization (Optimize), 4. Cloud Usage Optimization (Govern) and 5. Organizational Alignment (Govern).

• The Hybrid FinOps Maturity Assessment follows a 3 steps (EIQ) Framework:

1. Engage: Stage to identify key stakeholders and conduct a workshop to capture details about the cloud infrastructure

2. Investigate: Investigate all aspects of people, processes and tooling through the captured data and generate domain and capability scores to align each domain with Crawl, Walk or Run phase

3. Quantify: Measuring the captured data showcase maturity dashboards, identify key gap areas for improvement, and provide roadmap recommendations via regular cadence calls.

• Outcome of the assessment is a Maturity Index report in Power BI dashboard, Brief Presentation, Detailed Documentation, and Monthly Cadence Calls for roadmap.

• The Hybrid FinOps Maturity Assessment is targeted towards customers who wish to build an in-house FinOps practice, seek granular visibility and understand their FinOps Maturity in terms of Crawl, Walk or Run.

• The assessment can be conducted remotely as well as though physical workshops, and minimum duration is of 8 to 10 weeks.
