Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one user seat for billing on this plan?
A seat is required for every Git contributor who commits code changes to a private repository you add. The seat count typically reflects the total size of your development team. Contributors to public repositories do not require a paid seat.
How does cost change as our team grows and we add contributors?
You pay per developer each month, billed annually. Each new contributor who commits to a private repository adds one seat to your bill. Cost scales directly with seat count. This plan fits teams with more than 30 seats, so adding developers raises your total proportionally.
Does this plan cover self-hosted or on-premise Git repositories?
No. Codacy connects to cloud-hosted Git providers only and uses webhooks to track code changes. On-premise Git deployments are not supported. The plan does include deployment with data residency through a hosted enterprise Git option. Contact the vendor for details on supported providers.

Seamless Bitbucket Integration, but User and License Management Needs More Flexibility
Reviewed on Sep 30, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the seamless integration with Bitbucket, along with how straightforward user and access management is. It takes a lot of the hassle out of admin work and makes team onboarding much simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an admin, I feel that user and license management could be more flexible. For example, it can be hard at times to get a quick, clear overview of which users are active versus inactive, and it isn’t always straightforward to manage seats efficiently as the team grows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a centralized view of code security, coverage, and technical debt across all our repositories. That makes it easier to spot potential vulnerabilities early and helps ensure coding standards are applied consistently. As a result, it saves time for both admins and developers.

Easy GitHub & CI/CD Integration That Catches Bugs Before Production
Reviewed on May 08, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The integration of Codacy into our GitHub workflow and CI-CD is easy. It helps us flag bugs, poor coding practices, and missing null checks and validations before the code reaches production and breaks features. It performs a thorough review of newly added code and provides helpful suggestions for improvement. With Codacy, we were able to reduce our bug count metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it flags minor code issues that developers tend to ignore. Still, those flags are valid, and they’re already handled by other systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Codacy is helping us reduce our bug-generation metrics. We’ve integrated Codacy into our GitHub workflow, so any newly added code is automatically reviewed. Codacy flags potential bugs and poor coding practices, which has helped us significantly reduce the number of bugs over the last few quarters and improve our developers coding standards.
