More than 2,000 enterprises worldwide rely on Sumo Logic to collaborate, develop, operate, and secure their applications at cloud scale. Sumo Logic Essentials helps you reduce downtime and move from reactive to proactive monitoring with cloud-based modern analytics.
Modern cloud applications are at the core of digital transformation. They are much more complex and ephemeral in nature and have many interdependencies that traditional operations and security solutions can't handle. Sumo Logic is a secure, cloud-native analytics platform that helps you make data-driven decisions and reduce the time it takes to investigate security and operational issues.
Sumo Logic leverages powerful machine learning driven analytics capabilities such as pattern identification, outlier detection and predictive trending to quickly alert and troubleshoot applications, infrastructure performance, and security issues. Sumo Logic provides out-of-the-box pre-built analytics and dashboards for AWS services, including Amazon EC2, S3, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon CloudFront, Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Amazon VPC Flow Logs, AWS Config and AWS Lambda.
Sumo Logic Essentials Service (Monthly) provides support for three capacity plans. The service plans are managed through the Cloud Flex Credit program, providing real-time license performance visibility, based on the estimated credits per plan per month. Any overages are billed at the same contracted rate (no penalties).
With Sumo Logic, you can get started in minutes. All your data is protected in the platform, which has industry-best security certifications including PCI DSS 3.2 Service Provider Level 1 and HIPAA.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You buy this service as a monthly pool of credits, the unit used to pay for platform usage. Three options scale by credit volume and included capacity. The 700-credit option covers 1GB of daily log ingest with 365-day storage. The 2050-credit option covers 3GB of daily log ingest with the same retention. The 10120-credit option covers 5GB of log ingest, up to 50,000 data points per minute of metrics, and 5GB of tracing, all with 365-day storage. Higher credit counts unlock larger ingest capacity and add metrics and tracing coverage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What is a credit and how is it used to pay for platform usage?
A credit is the unit of value you spend across platform capabilities. Instead of licensing each product separately, credits form a pool applied based on how you configure ingest, storage, metrics, and tracing. Credits are consumed as billing units are activated, so usage reflects actual consumption.
What happens if my usage spikes above my monthly credit amount?
Usage spikes appear in your account dashboard but do not trigger overage or penalty charges. There are no cap penalties. Your credit utilization reflects the product used for that period. Tracking is real time, so you see the impact of usage as it happens.
On the 10120-credit option, what does DPM mean for the metrics capacity?
DPM means Data Points per Minute, the unit that measures metrics ingest. It counts the average number of metric data points ingested per minute in thousand increments, averaged over a calendar day. The 10120-credit option supports up to 50,000 metrics DPM alongside log ingest and tracing.
