Easy to Learn, Fast Snowflake Dashboards with Strong Support
Reviewed on Oct 13, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to pick up. You don't need any knowledge of SQL to start building charts and tables or create calculated fields. It has Excel-like formulas and tabs. It's integration with Snowflake means dashboards update much quicker. My team used it for complex analysis on a large dataset and it was a significant upgrade from our previous tool in terms of performance and maintenance effort. We have also built monitoring dashboards that we share with our leadership team. The Sigma Team gave us a running start with training sessions and then dedicated support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability of a workbook to connect to tables in different database regions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our previous tool became too slow to use because of the large dataset. Sigma addressed that bottleneck. We also did not have an effective way to put controls on reports to track changes and to version control them, but now we can.

Easy, Intuitive, and Fast—Sigma Wins with an Excel-Like Experience
Reviewed on Oct 07, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma is very easy to use and intuitive. My company transitioned from Tableau to Sigma recently, and I know that our end users will enjoy the look and performance of Sigma more than Tableau (speed, Excel-like format, AI capabilities, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not as well versed in Excel calculations as Tableau calculations, so it took me a little bit to understand how to use Sigma.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quicker data insights for our end users. I will be less hands on with end users as well with the AI chat capability. The integration with Secoda is nice for data governance.

Sigma Is Easy to Learn and Use, with Unique AI Features
Reviewed on Oct 07, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Sigma is how well the tool works. It’s very easy to learn, use, and implement, which makes it simple to get started and stay productive. It also includes some genuinely unique AI features that help scratch that itch of wanting to use AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really comes to mind right away. If I had to point to one potential downside, it would be the way provisioning appears to work. We haven’t implemented it yet, but from what I’ve seen so far, it seems more complicated than with other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps solve the issue of large datasets not loading properly on dashboards. It’s benefiting us by giving us another tool we can use when we run into this problem.

Input Tables and Actions Turn Sigma into a Powerful Operational Platform
Reviewed on Oct 05, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma's Input Tables and Actions are some of the most valuable features for our organization. They allow us to create interactive workflows that write directly back to Snowflake, transforming Sigma from a dashboarding tool into a platform for operational applications. Instead of managing processes in spreadsheets or separate systems, users can work directly with live data and take action within the same interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sigma covers most of our reporting and workflow needs, I would like to see additional visualization options and greater customization for charts. There are times when a specific visual would communicate insights more effectively, but the available chart types can be somewhat limiting. Similarly, some of the more advanced calculations and functions have a learning curve. Sigma's newer AI-assisted capabilities appear promising for helping users create formulas more easily, although I haven't had the opportunity to use those features yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma has helped us bridge the gap between analytics and operations. Rather than creating dashboards that users simply consume, we can build applications and workflows where users review data, provide input, and update information directly from Sigma with real-time writeback to Snowflake. This has allowed us to replace spreadsheet-based processes, streamline collaboration, and give business users more direct access to the data they need to make decisions.

Easy for Non-Technical Builders with Unmatched Sigma Customer Service
Reviewed on Oct 05, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma’s ease of use for non-technical builders, along with its unmatched customer service, is what truly sets Sigma apart from other BI platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there isn’t much to dislike. Any issues I’ve run into have been handled professionally and in a timely manner. The one thing I’d really love to see is more quick-start guides for the end-user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m currently working on a Cognos migration project, and following the quick start has saved me an unknown amount of time. Even the inventory step alone probably saved me close to a couple of weeks of research.

High-End, App-Like Dashboards That Are Easy to Interact With
Reviewed on Oct 02, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma allows us to take our data and build app-like dashboards for our stakeholders. This makes the end product something that feels high end, while also being easy to interact with. It also allows for easy way to gather user input into the dashboards, allowing the business to define their own transformations or provide adjustments and approvals.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge to Sigma is ensuring all users have the appropriate access to the data we are using. Given Sigma pushes all the querying to the underlying data platform, there can be challenges when we provide dashboard access to non-technical users who have been provided access in the database directly because they would never interact with the database directly otherwise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma is allowing us to deliver both complex reporting and data applications for our stakeholders. In Sigma we are building a wide variety of reporting solutions that target both internal and external customers by combining data we have with auditable user input to ensure completeness and accuracy. Additionally, we can easily incorporate live data with data that is stored in excel files to create more complete reports than we could otherwise. Additionally, we are building highly sophisticated data applications that can support business processes that would otherwise take months to implement in typical technology platforms. These apps support both live data and user inputs to allow us to create the gold standard of data for our firm to come from these applications.
