    Information Technology and Services

Blue Prism the best RPA solution.

  • May 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can integrate it to other tech like python.
What do you dislike about the product?
IE automation seems slower rather than Chrome. Blue Prism should really improve their IE Automation because there are systems that is only accessible via IE.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes me more careful when solving a problem like I think of the possible impact when I did this or that.

Developer for more than 1 year of BP

What do you like best about the product?
It's fast to learn the product and to automate a process. To have the whole product with one license is good
What do you dislike about the product?
The scheduler doesn't have a good interface (example when releasing a new process with new startup parameters, they aren't updated in scheduler). Analytics tab doesn't work properly and there aren't many guides for dashboards. A built in tool to export the ODI would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of financial processes are automated. FTE savings are a focus

My Blue Prism experience

  • May 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Blue Prism for more than a year now and what I like about it is the user-friendly features like dragging and dropping of stages, very well-documented instructions on how the stages work, and the library of best practices available in the Blue Prism Portal. I also like how easy it is to design the process using a workflow style architecture. I also like how Blue Prism handles exceptions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful feature of Blue Prism would be the code stages. I know it is nice to have this for those IT programmer guys but I think this stage defeats the purpose of the whole user-friendliness of the software. I've worked with some developers who enjoy writing codes and they almost used Blue Prism with code stages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of my projects are end-to-end finance processes. Benefits would include, non-stop operation, no breaks, almost 100 % quality due to the reduction of some usual human error, reduction of typographical errors, and real-time reporting of results or outputs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blue Prism will be a great choice if you are walking the path to RPA. They offer great instructions and best practices to smoothly develop and deploy robots for any of your business processes. Almost all platforms or windows applications are now fully supported.

Recommend for enterprise automation

  • May 01, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is the best tool for building enterprise automation. More excited thing is Blue Prism continuously expands its capability from transitional RPA to advanced RPA with cognitive service. I can always find automation solution using Blue Prism. It seems blue prism doesn't have a limitation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope I can change the theme color (my favorite background is black) of blue prism editor, like other programming editors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I am using Blue Prism to improve the productivity of operation activity in back office and integrate with multiple applications. It is fast and accurate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't have experience with Blue Prism, it is ok. Blue Prism has all documents to train and guide you. It is a good product for business user to do the automation using its template, as well as for tech geek to build more customized objects using programming skills.

Editor of building robots is intuitive and easy to navigate

  • May 01, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The editor or as BP calls, the studio, is fairly intuitive. You "program" a robot as if you were drawing out a process flow in a Vsio-like view. The toolbox gives you a neat look of what's available as building blocks, and the relation between process, object, action is easy to understand. These features make it a low-effort maintenance for most of the robots with minor to medium complexity, and it's possible to put the first happy flow robot live in a short time to cope with instant need of mid-term solution or a resource crisis.
What do you dislike about the product?
BluePrism has a focus on having the robot running on server instead of locally occupying the user's computer; the interactive robots therefore have to be designed differently then the common attended robots. This has not been a downside for us since processes at our area have little to no needs to run locally or real-time interaction with users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used BluePrism to automate a manual "workaround" task, which lasted for more than 5 years and has no hope in getting budget approved with the proposal of conventional automation. The amount of applications involved has limited us to automate with existing tools we have, and not to mention the time wasted from waiting for responses from some applications. With BluePrism, we have a stable mid-term solution, and we created space of 0.25 FTE per day for more challenging topics. We have also used BluePrism to automate reporting tasks and monitoring tasks for data flow, which avoids jumping task to task for our analysts.

Excellent RPA experience with Blue Prism

  • April 30, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and easy installation. Process and Objects hierarchical structures. Can continue to do debugging in middle of flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
not very efficient to deal with different data types like Array, List, Dictionary using "Collection".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blue Prism brings digital workforce and helped clients to process high volume, repetitive, rule-based tasks like tax reconciliation, invoice processing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lots of features in Work Queue, and more powerful tool - Digital exchange can be used in Process/Objects.

Blue Prism helped us Automate repetitive tasks

  • April 30, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism gave our organization ability to automate tasks that were repetitive and time consuming on daily basis. Easy of use and ability to capture controls from various applications (web, gui, command prompt) gave us many options on automating our tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some documentation could be a bit more detailed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of health checks and various user repetitive tasks.

A robust and user-friendly RPA platform

  • April 30, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The reusability and speed of development. The overall structure of designing small, reusable Business Objects, with their actions being assembled in a Process lends itself well to a growing number of use-cases while having an existing object library to leverage.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like there to be better support for global variables to be shared across all Processes/Busines Objects. There are environment variables, but these cannot be collections, so when it comes to a large, configurable number of variables, there isn't a perfect solution. Support for Chrome browser could also be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Typically completion of mundane and error-prone data-entry tasks that are also time-sensitive. We found it is relatively easy to aggregate multiple automation use-cases by similarity, which is nice.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Chome support can be an issue if you have any restrictions on which version of Chrome you can use (such as enterprise restrictions).

Blue Prism Review

  • April 30, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that the whole process can be constructed using a flow chart so it is easy to visualise the bot as well in future.
What do you dislike about the product?
Error handling is a little tricky and confusing, though the help manuals that are available online come to our rescue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in the Finance department of the company, we are solving high value high cost repetitive human tasks and are utilizing BP for those tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Follow the BP documentation templates and don't skip any step while creating your work flows.

Excellent RPA tool

  • April 30, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue prism user interface is excellent. Its very easy to understand just like a flowchart. A person with very limited or no programming knowledge can also learn the tool very easily. We can make our solution more scalable and reliable as we have the option for writing customised code with programming languages like C# or vb.net. It can be integrated with other application which make it excellent in the market.Blue prism works with wide variety of applications like mainframe, web, windows, excel,SAP.It also have built capabilities for reading PDF (OCR).Blue prism has wide range of built in functions and the vendor also provides many VBO's.They have introduced new spying mode with the latest version.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I want to highlight as dislike. But,I would recommend the encryption in credential manger.Currently this can be easily decrypted which is security threat.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been working with Blue prism more than 2 years now.I was able to automate many process that require full time employ. The processes included applications like mainframe, web, emial, windows,SAP etc.
The users were happy about the time Bot would save and were happy about they will not have to do these repetitive tasks. No time constraints ,Business was able to use the robot 24*7.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blue Prism is one of the excellent RPA tool available in the market. If you are beginner in the technology this will be the perfect choice. It has wide built in functionalities.Even if you don't have programmatic knowledge it does not matter.
