Satisfied Long-term Customer
What do you like best about the product?
Provides peace of mind and knowledge that our email is being protected from any malicious bad actors and dangerous emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit expensive but the cost is worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of our email is scanned and protected before it even arrives for the end user. Or worst case, their product can claw back and delete something after the fact.

Thorough and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
They are incredibly quick to respond to any security alerts, and offer simple to use tools to remedy any perceived threats as quickly as possible. I also can't recommend their managed services enough; the Proofpoint staff is friendly and able to answer any question I had without issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
The alerts, while helpful, can be somewhat aggressive. If a malicious message is discovered in our system and sent to multiple users, it will send an alert for every user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint is instrumental in detecting and blocking incoming spam and phishing attempts. Our team is small, so the added scrutiny is much appreciated.

Encrypting emails, protectiing users from Phishing and Threat emails. It's allowing us to automate actions and responses at any point or time throughout our environment.

Comprehensive Email Security with Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the Proofpoint Mail Gateway is its reliable email security and its Customer Support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike, except that the legacy GUI feels somewhat outdated and resembles a Linux platform. While the new Admin portal is fantastic, it still lacks some of the features available in the classic version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint Email Security and Protection is solving several critical problems for us, primarily around phishing, malware, and spam prevention
Proofpoint Protects Well, But Could Use A UI Overhaul
What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint is best in class at doing what is designed to do: prevent spam and other email-based threats from reaching end-user inboxes. I most like the customization available in the product for filtering and targeting particular users, especially the policy routes feature and disposition options within the different protection modules. Custom support has always been very responsive and informative and help make the product easier to manage and integrate into our environment. The knowledgebase and online community is also very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could use some work, especially when working with an on-premises clustered environment where there are multiple nodes that you could be making changes on. While it often offers to choose where to apply your settings when they could differ from node to node, the interface could use more progress indicators to indicate when it is switching over to another node or when it has fully switched over. Otherwise you have to pay close attention to the interface to know when it does refresh. I also think the interface itself can be a bit confusing and some features aren't intuitive to find, such as the dropdown arrows showing additional search fields or other features took me a long time to realize they were there and hiding other options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has significantly reduced the amount of spam and email-based malware or other threats reaching our end-user mailboxes. It is promoting better efficiency within our organization and helping protect our users, both within our IT operations team and with our general userbase.
Best in this space
What do you like best about the product?
The product is easy to implement, integrate and maintain. Once it's stood up, few adjustments are needed. My favorite thing is the balance provided between the end-user and the admins, emails flagged by Proofpoint can be released by the recipient or by the admins and easily flagged as safe if mislabeled as malicious.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really dislike this but I wish there was more control over the digest. I think the digest gives too many options to the user to release spam emails. Even though spam messages aren't a security probem, they are an operational problem that can lead to a security problem if they get out of control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint catches spam and malicious emails that we would miss due to the volume of messages that are delivered daily and it is also critical in identitying malicious attachments and links.
Great product and highly recommend
What do you like best about the product?
It is super effective! My organization is currently safe from 99.8% of all malicious emails that come through. More than 95% are protected before delivery to my employees.

There is a lot to learn if you are just starting out. But there are lots of micro learning courses and they are easy to impliment.

They block all unwanted email threats and provide valuable services.

The UI of the products are little outdated. But got habituated.

Protection against the phishing emails. Which is it best at. And all the outside emails are in the digest until we decides to have them or not.
