Powerful CAD system, split into multiple modules.
What do you like best about the product?
The two aspects of NX that I like the best are the open API structure to allow customization to make the software a more specialized tool, and the overall power and additional modules to complete the most complex tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The aspect of NX that I like the least is how much different features in a given module can be seen but not utilized without further licenses. A lot of training and command finder features come up greyed out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing NX for our tooling and manufacturing fixture design. As well as automated equipment design, for robotic welding and machine tending applications. Powerful CAD tool to design equipment and allow PMI to complete manufacturing with minimum 2D prints.
NX is a cool CAD sofware tool
What do you like best about the product?
Synchronous modeling of imported models from other CAD tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The navigating around the model with a mouse. need to use a spaceball.

modeling equipment for factory floor.

NX is a best of class software for design and analysis. The product needs to be able help users design with less failures.

Needs to be able to debug issues as an dmin easier.

Administer new users to understand the different areas of use.

Get lots of support.

What do you like best about the product?
How smart it is. Coming from PTC for 25+ years. It helps speed up the design process

Hard to learn, It takes a long time to get up to speed, Once you understand what it is looking for it is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are going to model based drawings, a new learning process. After saying that it is much easier to create usable files for vendors.
NX has opened so many new doors
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of NX has opened many doors. Much more complex design capabilities than other softwares that I have used. The automation capabilities has greatly increased the efficiency of designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little difficult to get started. Not as userfriendly in terms of trial and error methods of learning. Will most likely need some help getting started, but there are several resources available to aid in this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Been able to greatly increase efficiency issues not only utilizing the automation available but also through the overall performance of the app. Faster loading times and rendering than competitors.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn how to use it properly and you will greatly increase your output.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and integration into teamcenter
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can take a while to load models.

I'm using it to demo integrations within teamcenter.
NX from Siemens is best software for 3D modelling & automobile design
What do you like best about the product?
NX software is used to make 3Ddesign of Product & machine. It is supported with surface Modeling & mold design. It is very useful & time saving software. Its PLM centre isused to manage full organisation. It supports all 3D format
What do you dislike about the product?
Its cost can be made more competitive. Its support team should be more friendly. This product can improve its user interface & should increase its cloud storage space
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX has helped us making complex 3D Design. It supports product DFM analysis. Its sheet metal & mold wizard are used very frequently. We can make 3D design & later do 2D drafting for manufacturing.
Most used for CAM Purpose
What do you like best about the product?
It has the best capabilities related to CAM. If you want to use the software in machine shop NX is the best you can get. It's very easy to create NC program in NX.
What do you dislike about the product?
NX does not have much options for large assemblies. It is difficult to design complicated assemblies in NX. it doesn't have much capabilities in drafting also as compared to other softwares.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it in our machine shop to create NC program for different machines. At first I do 3d modelling of the part. Then I chose tools and toolpath to be used to create NC program of part.

Great tool set and parametric features. Easy to interlink parts to make easy changes across assemblies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Teamcenter is a separate purchase and there are no basic PDM capabilities built into NX.

Creating good designs across sites.
