The most accurate manner of viewing logs separated by namespaces.
What do you like best about the product?
The capacity to hold multiple applications logs at one place. Also, categorizing each application by individual namespace. Supports almost any format of data ranging from JSON to XML to Object format. Supports all logging format.
What do you dislike about the product?
Login issues. Recently in my organization Sumologic SSGM has moved to SailPoint and that’s causing a lot of login issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to store data for more than 30 days for business to look for solutions for a previous issue incurred in the application. Helps a great deal in storing application logs and so making it efficient in nature.Moving to Open Shift cloud helps a great deal to check the health of the application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very effective tool mostly for larger application bandwidth. Extremely beneficial for storing logs.

Sumo Logic offers great capabilities, but needs to mature further
What do you like best about the product?
Very good product, interface and easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
The product can mature more by offering more benefits and better ease of use and understanding for the novice user
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are increasing our productivity through the use of this products automation capabilities
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product, but users need training to better understand the use and management of this product. not intuitive
Unsavory at best
What do you like best about the product?
It had nice graphs that were useful for presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost for data becomes exponentially worse, service has constant interruptions and downtime. Queries are not industry standard and do not allow finite tuning
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Siem, log aggregation. Executive reporting
Super fast Log aggregator
What do you like best about the product?
SumoLogic is a very fast, and cost-effective log aggregator tool. It has saved us hours of work trying to figure out when something goes wrong with our software
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about SumoLogic. It works perfectly for our needs, and has no down-sides (perhaps, other than cost).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to setup automated alerts when a "fail log" are triggered multiple times within a short period of time - allowing us to act on it before we receive a complain from our users.
Sumologic user review
What do you like best about the product?
I love their visualizations and the easy integration with our AWS Account.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that they do not provide recommendations on best practices. However, may be that is not their scope but it would be nice to have it along.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides us the centralized monitoring of our environment. Helps track inbound and outbound traffic.
Centralized and democratized logging is essential for a software team
What do you like best about the product?
From the start the Sales team was very good at understanding their product and getting a solutions architect on board early to help you understand the best ways of getting information from your logs. They are open to lots of dialog and willing to make sure you are in a good place to succeed.
The ingestion tools are fairly simple and for us we defaulted most to the HTTP ingestion endpoint.
Parsing is very robust and extracting fields from your logs can be done a number of different ways.
The log-metrics ability was a real winner for us as we have a number of items that log metric information but aren't spitting them out as actual metrics endpoints. This basically allows you to do any custom metrics in a log line to work with.
The query language is fairly robust and allows for things like joins, subqueries, aggregation and log reduction and time comparisons.

What do you dislike about the product?
As with any of these tools you must really understand their standard query language. It takes a little to get used to and you need to think through how to use it all.
I also would have expected more ways of ingesting the data to be built out. Things like common tools that would have been used.
The content library has taken me a little to get used to because even though my user has access to everything I still have to switch to the content administrator view to move things to root level folders.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the initial calls with the Sales team seriously and setup an ingestion as soon as possible to get the most value out of those conversations.
Reasonably priced log aggregation + metrics
What do you like best about the product?
SumoLogic has all the features (and then some) that SMBs would need to complete log aggregation across infrastructure. Additionally, there are many pre-built search/parsing formats for common data types (like AWS access logs) that are very handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes dashboards and search interfaces don't have the latest logs and can take some time to get there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Log aggregation for server/application management across services.
Nice SIEM for small business
What do you like best about the product?
1- user friendly
2- ease to use
3- straight forward simple configuration

What do you dislike about the product?
1- long queries take forever to complete and sometimes dies before completing
2- there is limitation to view the search results in graph format
3- had hard time to ingest logs from some unsupported log sources

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily use it as a SIEM to manage client environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Run sample long queries and ensure required log sources are supported.
not a great experience
What do you like best about the product?
is similarity to script with and query with to splunk
What do you dislike about the product?
Splunk is vastly more expensive however the speed and ease of use and the rate queries are returned is much better on splunk vs sumo.
In the end the cost saving was negated by hours lost hence why we opted to switch back

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Log aggregation.
Very powerful log management tool with a bit of a learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I've only used the Log Management solution provided by Sumo Logic, so this review is based on that.
It's a very powerful tool where you can query logs in pretty much any way you can imagine. Our service had very high log traffic across many services. Sumo logic was able to keep up, and we could query logs in a variety of ways.

What do you dislike about the product?
It has a pretty steep learning curve. The query language is pretty solid, but it takes some time to figure it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When debugging an error or series of events someone performed, sumo logic logs would make it easy to query the relevant logs and follow what went on. We could also query logs for usage stats and pretty much anything we could imagine.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you give it a good try. It's very powerful.
