AWS re:Invent 2023

Intuit at AWS re:Invent 2023

In this AWS re:Invent 2023 keynote video, Nhung Ho, vice president of AI at Intuit, discusses how the company is using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to drive major advancements in financial technology using generative artificial intelligence (AI). Intuit, known for its financial management solutions geared towards over 100 millions consumer and small business customers, is using Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock to combine cutting-edge technology with human tax-and-bookkeeping experts and deliver highly personalized customer experiences.

In 2019, Intuit declared its mission to become an AI-driven expert platform, undertaking a multi-year investment to achieve this goal at massive scale.

By running its end-to-end data strategy, data lake, and machine learning (ML) platforms on AWS, Intuit can accurately, responsibly and quickly leverage an explosion of data to unlock new opportunities for customers.

Intuit’s AI-driven strategy has led to the creation of GenOS, a proprietary generative AI operating system built on AWS, which facilitates the rapid development and deployment of personalized financial solutions by providing the ability to harness underlying data and access to a multitude of third party and custom large language models (LLMs) that can be scaled out to customers with ease, all while balancing costs using Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock.

On AWS, Intuit processes an immense volume of data, making over 65 billion machine learning predictions daily and over 810M interactions per year. With its GenOS, the company is building new applications like Intuit Assist for TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks and Mailchimp.  Intuit Assist is a generative AI-powered assistant that offers personalized insights to help users make smart financial decisions.

Intuit's work with AWS has been integral to its journey toward becoming a global financial technology platform, with AI and data at its core.
