Driving business intelligence adoption using AWS with TD SYNNEX
Learn how TD SYNNEX Corporation worked alongside AWS to help customers explore AI-powered business intelligence solutions.
Benefits
Overview
TD SYNNEX Corporation (TD SYNNEX) wanted to give customers a hands-on way to explore generative AI–powered business intelligence capabilities in a live environment. Working alongside Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company created a new Cloud Lab experience around Amazon Quick Suite, an AI assistant for work that brings business tools together. Customers could interact directly with the service using guided exercises, sample datasets, and some of their own data. This helped organizations test AI-powered analytics, dashboards, and workflows in a practical environment, moving beyond a traditional product demonstration. Since debuting the new Cloud Lab, TD SYNNEX has seen significant regional sales growth and introduced customers in 23 countries to Amazon Quick Suite.
About TD SYNNEX Corporation
TD SYNNEX helps customers maximize business outcomes through technology, connecting them with AWS services and other products. Named an AWS Distributor Partner of the Year in 2025, it operates in over 40 countries and employs more than 23,000 people.
Opportunity | Expanding Cloud Labs with generative AI for TD SYNNEX
With its Cloud Labs, TD SYNNEX delivers hands-on workshops to customers that demonstrate the business and technical value of AWS products. These preconfigured environments provide proofs of concept using real-world use cases, demo flows, and datasets. The company, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, had already used its Cloud Labs environments to give customers experience with Amazon Q Business, which makes generative AI securely accessible to everyone in an organization.
Amazon Quick Suite helps organizations connect business data, communication tools, and documents within a single generative AI experience. Upon the release of Amazon Quick Suite, TD SYNNEX was especially interested in the business intelligence capabilities, including its ability to respond to natural-language queries about organizational data. The company wanted to give organizations of all sizes an opportunity to explore the product in a live environment. “The ease of creating dashboards from your data and interacting with them using generative AI is a significant selling point,” says Sergio Dominguez, solutions architect at TD SYNNEX.
Solution | Exploring business intelligence with Amazon Quick Suite
TD SYNNEX adopted Amazon Quick Suite immediately upon launch, engaging in training sessions with AWS to become familiar with the service’s capabilities and address early challenges, such as API constraints. The company then worked alongside AWS to build a new Cloud Lab experience that provided customers with a hands-on introduction to Amazon Quick Suite.
The resulting Cloud Lab environment provides TD SYNNEX employees and partners access to a shared Amazon Quick Suite environment that can support up to 20 participants per session. Employees wishing to showcase Amazon Quick Suite to customers can request access through an intake form, after which participants automatically receive credentials, documentation, and guided exercises.
Exercises in the Cloud Lab guide users through preconfigured use cases that demonstrate the service’s utility in industries such as aerospace, insurance, and public health. Participants can explore how AI-powered workflows in Amazon Quick Suite interact with structured and unstructured data, automate tasks, generate reports, and support business intelligence activities. The environment also includes integrations for workflows such as email notifications and Jira tasks.
To make the experience more relevant for customers, TD SYNNEX incorporated “bring your own index” functionality. This helps participants incorporate organizational data from Amazon Q Business indexes into exercises within the Cloud Lab environment. “The ready-made use cases don’t just passively walk users through the product to show them what it can do. Instead, users go into Amazon Quick Suite and accomplish the tasks themselves,” says Carolyn Eagen, strategic lead of Space & Autonomous Technologies at TD SYNNEX.
TD SYNNEX employees can track participation and analyze feedback after users complete the Cloud Lab experience. For customer security, the Cloud Lab environments are decommissioned on completion, so each participating organization’s data and credentials are deleted.
Outcome | Boosting regional sales by over 130 percent year over year
TD SYNNEX has introduced the Amazon Quick Suite Cloud Lab in 23 countries. In Mexico—the top country for engagement with the new Cloud Lab—more than 400 users from small businesses to enterprise organizations have participated.
The company has experienced a 139 percent increase in sales and a 131 percent increase in total transactions per partner in Latin America year over year since launching the Cloud Lab. TD SYNNEX has also observed a major shift in customer demand, with organizations increasingly requesting Amazon Quick Suite Cloud Lab sessions over Amazon Q Business demos.
Looking ahead, TD SYNNEX plans to work alongside AWS to launch applications with agents that can use customer data to improve productivity and support data-driven decision-making. These applications will include a tool that customers can use to assess their sovereignty posture and evaluate whether to pursue sovereign cloud services. “We have a great symbiotic relationship with the AWS team,” says Eagen. “They build these solutions and roll them out to us, and then we massage them and bring them to users at a global level. It’s a win-win.”
