An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Once you launch your instance, ssh to the instance as appadmin using the key you specified during launch. To access the instance, you will need to have either a VPN configured for the VPC that the instance resides in or an elastic IP that points to the instance. Once you configure the instance, it will reboot and you may login via incadmin or appadmin with the public key. Configure the appliance type as "Sapphire EX System" and the Sapphire EX System Type as "Cloud Automation Appliance". To generate a license key, navigate to the Configuration > CAA API Services Configuration menu. Select Generate License Data and send the resulting file to your Diamond IP representative or to our customerssupport center.
