Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply. This is a minimal CentOS 8.3 image with 25 Gig Disk, used as a common base system on top of which other packages can be installed using yum repositories or your custom built software can be installed. It contains just enough packages to run within AWS, bring up a SSH Server and allow users to login. Cloud-init, as well as the CentOS security updates available at the release date are included. Root login is disabled and only the 'maintuser' user is allowed to connect using ssh public key authentication.

Usage instructions
Create an EC2 instance with 1-Click or by using EC2 Console step by step approach or from AWS Cli. SSH to the Public DNS or Public IP address using 'maintuser' and the key pair specified at instance launch time. SUDO needs to be used in order to run a command as root superuser. Use 'sudo sh' or 'sudo su -' in order to get a root prompt. To connect using your instance's public DNS, enter the following command. ssh -i /path/your-key-pair.pem maintuser@ec2-instance-dns-name or ssh -i /path/your-key-pair.pem centos@ec2-instance-dns-name
