    Overview

Bronto is the intelligent data platform for observability, enabling teams to store up to 1000x more data and run sub-second searches reliably. Send full-fidelity logs, traces, and metrics into one platform designed to be the telemetry layer for engineers and agents. With immediate access to months of data in Bronto, teams can troubleshoot errors faster, surface performance patterns, and run thorough root cause analysis without needing to rehydrate data.

The magic starts with BrontoDB, a polymorphic database optimized to handle each type of observability signal in the AI era. By solving challenges like indexing and high cardinality, BrontoDB is on the frontier of data efficiency for storing logs, traces, and metrics. Instead of being forced to sample data, exclude workloads, and shorten retention; teams can now send all of their full-fidelity data to one platform without expensive, unpredictable costs.

Bronto offers simple, predictable pricing that aligns cost with value. It is $0.10 per GB ingest, $1.00 per GB searched, with an even more generous Starter plan up to 1TB. There are no per-metric, per-host, or per-user fees. It is just one monthly bill with no surprises.

On top of your data, Bronto has built-in intelligence features that help organizations structure and investigate errors. When data is sent into Bronto, it is automatically parsed so it is easy to search and reference. You can conduct on-demand investigations with BrontoScope, or set Investigation Reports to gather pre-set context when a certain monitor fires. The Bronto MCP server plugs into AI workflows seamlessly, equipped with tools that can run searches, conduct analysis, create monitors, and more. With Bronto, you can spend less time managing and maintaining your observability stack and just get the answers you need.

    Highlights

    • BrontoDB is a polymorphic database optimized to store logs, traces, and metrics at peak efficiency. This custom architecture directly addresses indexing and high cardinality challenges, enabling teams to send 100-1000X more data to Bronto at full-fidelity with no sampling required.
    • Run sub-second queries across TBs of your data. Bronto is designed to maintain fast search at petabyte scale. When you need to investigate an issue, Bronto instantly returns high-context answers, perfect for agentic workflows.
    • Store your logs, traces, and metrics always hot for 12 months. With long-term retention and sub-second search, you can analyze performance trends over time, find persistent issues months apart, and detect monitoring gaps. The Bronto MCP server fits perfectly into LLM workflows to surface intelligence about your applications and agents.

    Pricing

    Bronto: The Intelligent Observability Datastore

     Info
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator  to estimate your infrastructure costs.

    Dimensions summary

This listing uses a single pricing dimension: Usage (Units). You commit to a contract, and your charges track the total usage measured across each billable period. There are no separate tiers, instance sizes, or add-on options to choose between. Usage covers your activity on the observability platform, where you send logs, metrics, and traces, then search and store them. Because billing is based on one usage meter, your cost scales with how much you use during the period rather than a fixed per-seat or per-server rate.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

A unit reflects your usage across the observability datastore. That includes ingesting logs, metrics, and traces, storing them, and running searches. The platform meters this activity through one usage figure, then totals it for each billable period. Your charges track that combined activity rather than a fixed count of users or servers.
Your bill tracks total usage during the period, so higher ingestion, storage, or query activity raises your measured units. The platform stores full-fidelity data with one-year retention by default, so retaining more data over time adds to usage. There are no tiers, so cost moves in step with activity.
This is a contract tied to a single usage meter. You commit for the term, but charges track the total units measured each billable period rather than a flat fee. This suits workloads where ingestion, storage, and query volume vary, since cost follows your actual activity.

Proactive log monitoring has reduced production issues and now identifies errors before release

    Reviewed on Dec 04, 2025
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I just started looking into Bronto as I need to be able to analyze logs, so we're testing out and evaluating different products that support that observability.

My main use case for Bronto is mostly log analysis, monitoring, and alerting off of events.

A specific example of something I want to monitor or alert on using Bronto is production issues. When something happens in prod, usually the only way that we know about it right now is when the customer calls in and tells us about it. So we need something that can monitor our logs and alert us much sooner than that so we can take action right away. And hopefully, maybe even take action on its own.

How has it helped my organization?

Bronto has positively impacted my organization even in this early evaluation phase by being very useful for looking at lower environment logs and evaluating potential issues before they even make it out. We have resolved at least one issue just from the monitoring that Bronto provided.

The issue we resolved involved monitoring the logs, where we had deployed something to a lower environment and noticed that the 500 errors had increased due to implementing a third-party library. So I was able to take action before that change went out to production.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Bronto offers, from what I've seen so far, are mainly the log analysis, integration with other third-party tools, such as Jira and ticketing systems.

I'm impressed with how the integrations with Jira and ticketing systems work for me so far. I haven't come across any challenges, but we're still evaluating Bronto against some other providers as well. It's pretty seamless.

The thing that surprised me about the features is how easy it was to get set up and get everything put together. Bronto integrates and can pull CloudWatch logs without needing separate SDK calls from our code.

Bronto has positively impacted my organization even in this early evaluation phase by being very useful for looking at lower environment logs and evaluating potential issues before they even make it out. We have resolved at least one issue just from the monitoring that Bronto provided.

    What needs improvement?

The only thing that I would suggest for further improvement is an expansion on Bronto's offerings so far.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been a developer for over a decade. I have been with Stifel Financial for over five years.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I'm impressed with how the integrations with Jira and ticketing systems work for me so far. I haven't come across any challenges, but we're still evaluating Bronto against some other providers as well. It's pretty seamless.

What other advice do I have?

I purchased Bronto through the AWS Marketplace.

If you're looking for some log monitoring and observability, Bronto is definitely an option.

My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

I found this interview on the re:Invent expo floor, and I don't think there's anything I should change for the future.

I would rate this product an 8.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
