chmod 400 your-key.pem

SSH Connection: Use the following command in your terminal to connect to the instance (replace "your-instance-ip" with the public IP address of your instance and "your-key.pem" with the name of your .pem file):
ssh -i "your-key.pem" ec2-user@your-instance-ip
If you are using an Ubuntu image, the username may be "ubuntu" instead of "ec2-user". Make sure to use the correct username for the AMI you are using.
With these steps, you'll be connected to your AWS instance via SSH and can begin managing and configuring it as needed.
