Overview
1-Click-Deployment for your Cloud Linux Desktop
Launch a VM instance with this Amazon Machine Image (AMI) to start your own Linux Desktop in the cloud in less than 5 minutes. This server image provides you with a Xfce Desktop Environment for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. You can connect to the virtual display via RDP or VNC.
To keep the VM as clean as possible we have kept the installation to a minimum (no additional tools were installed other than Mozilla Firefox for internet access so that you can get started with your custom software installations out of the box).
"Xfce is a lightweight desktop environment for UNIX-like operating systems. It aims to be fast and low on system resources, while still being visually appealing and user friendly." - xfce.org

Not Ubuntu 18.04
RDP and VNC both functioned wonderfully. Very fast. However, the image is using 16.04. After running the upgrade to 18.04 neither VNC nor RDP functioned.
