Meets our fundamental needs for a reporting tool with a lot of flexibility and low cost.
What do you like best about the product?
very responsive support. flexibility. Well known, established product so the searchable knowledge base out there on the web is pretty extensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
can be somewhat complex. Because of the ability to customize, some tools that you would expect to be available might not be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to generate reports, and provide some ability for the users to make minor modifications on their own.

What do you like best about the product?
Chosen for its Linux support several years ago and integration abilities. Very flexible platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be slow at adding feature enhancements or bug fixes. Removal of Chromium from the products still causes problems for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jaspersoft enables us to transform huge volumes of complex networking data into insights simple for our customers to consume. Our customers appreciate our pre-packaged reports and the ability to create their own ad hoc insights.

I appreciate the flexibility Jaspersoft provides - the variety of reports I can create is amazing!

More documentation to ensure I am being the most efficient I can be while using the software.

Jaspersoft allows me to customize a wide range of reports to support my client's financial and operational needs.

It is primarily used for meet reporting requirement of a large program

What do you like best about the product?
A single tool for the user where they can perform many different uses. Possibility to provide users with Word documents (or others), to compartmentalize data via data spaces, or to build precise reports from Jasperstudio.
Additionally, the ability to customize the application through specific developments allows us to meet the specific needs of our collaborators.
Very good relationship with the Jaspersoft CS team providing support. The team is pleasant, available, and responds quickly to our expectations. It is thanks to this that our upgrade to Jaspersoft V9 went very well.

What do you dislike about the product?
We encountered several performance issues, some of which are related to the design of the tool (e.g., Library feature, recently displayed items, duplicate SQL queries for filters,...).
Some aspects of the tool are not resolvable and are irritants for us (e.g., default value for masked data instead of having an empty field).
Sometimes enabling logs to try to understand a problem leads to a performance issue related to the volume of log writing.
Personally, I had a bit of trouble getting to grips with this tool, but it was my first experience with a BI tool, so it's difficult for me to be objective.

Beautiful reports generation for Customers
What do you like best about the product?
We primarily use JasperSoft for customer report generation.
Once mastered, it allows the creation of very complex and beautiful reports without the need for programming skills. Users can mix data sources from different technologies, achieve pixel-perfect results, and provide a wide variety of export formats to customers.

What do you dislike about the product?
The price is high.
The technology, based on Java, is cumbersome and becoming outdated.
The desktop editor quickly becomes user-unfriendly.
The online editor is easier to use but has limitations.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and implementation. Small footprint on the system and multi OS support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboarding is not intuitive or user friendly. Too complex to implement row level security in JRXML reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementing inside the application has been easy and end users like the simplicity.

What do you like best about the product?
Jasper works well and integrates with our existing applications providing the reporting solutions for our internal staff and clients
What do you dislike about the product?
The upgrades are not always easy with the busy road map we have an an organization. We also do some custom work and unless the engineers are constantly working on Jasper, updates can be a challenge at least in our organization and the other priorities we have.

Mostly reporting type of features for few of our enterprise applications.
