Excellent for unifying disparate data sources

What do you like best about the product?
DOMO has many great features, but one thing I especially appreciate is the ability to (quite easily) join data sets. When working with multiple systems for data input, DOMO makes it simple to unify on a unique field and have that master data set to build upon for visualizations. DOMO also has a TON of data connectors, so changes are you'll easily be able to connect to any major system you're using.
What do you dislike about the product?
DOMO sometimes has some weird bugs. It's very rarely something that actually prevents me from getting my work done, but at times it's frustrating. Having said that, I've seen the DOMO team fix many of these issues.

I'd also like to see branching drill downs--not sure how in-scope that is for DOMO, but being able to drill on different paths based on previous level's selection would be awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Viewing customer satisfaction across the business. Using DOMO has enabled me to give an executive view of csat, then drill into the critical touchpoints to understand how we are performing.

Interesting BI Solution But Can Do Better Esp For The Pricing

What do you like best about the product?
Executive Dashboard that once you start connecting is really amazing.

The connectors are really the selling point and a really solid piece of software. It's easy to connect even Google Analytics to SAP. Even advanced analytic with the cards is relatively simple.

I love how i can pivot the data any which way i would like. Ease of Use and Wide Range of Reports thus gets full marks.
What do you dislike about the product?
First the price point for the technology is too high. 7000 USD per month for just a handful of connectors is way way too high especially since in that price point i can probably hire a couple of people to do the job just as well.

It's a Dashboard solution and whilst it does the job well, the value one gains by the data extraction is usually less than the cost of the solution. I have yet to get any WOW! insights from the software.

There's no way to get access to the raw data sets either. No Ad-Hoc reporting.

It's also a steep learning curve despite their best intentions and support. Domo on day one is hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a marketing consultancy, we link advertising campaign management across multiple platforms (including traditional) and digital datasets e.g. Analytics & Performance based advertising to our client's internal systems from sales to related KPIs. In short marketing & business reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I always feel that we're usually ahead of other businesses as far as using Data is concerned in our organization. We had used Qlikview & Tableau before so perhaps the WOW! wasn't there. So with that, I would say that each organization is different and perhaps has a different viewpoint of DOMO. Give it a trial run to see how well it'll work out for you.

It is quirky. We have had mystery aspects of Domo pop up but Tech support never seems to be able to figure out then it goes back to "normal"

Real time reports are very easy in Domo and our customers like the way the organize the custom data

Great drill down product!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy to read graphs with the ability to create the dashboards and reports that are meaningful for our team. We use call dispositioning and we found that some users were using the wrong disposition and it was easily displayed in a Domo report. We were able to drill down into the report and see in a bar graph, with different colors, the data we needed. Ease of use and the wide range of reports at our fingertips.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike the lack of information online for user help and information coming from other companies. We would like to know how some other companies use the dashboards and reports and what they look like. Domo keeps this very secret and their ecosystem is unknown. I wish I could ask other companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the issue of discovering outliers. We are also solving the issue of finding out who is being the most effective with their time. We have realized these benefits by firing a few individuals who were shown the reports, told how to change, trained how to change, and then compared multiple months. We saved inefficiency and were able to do more with a smaller team. We also were able to promote individuals and motivate other individuals by percentage increases in the reports and dashboards we created. Specifically around the dial metrics but we also used closed acv, appointments set to close, and appointments that fell through. Training purposes as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When considering Domo, make sure to let them know all the kpi that are important to you. That meaning key performance indicators. They will then direct you to build those reports and how to do so. Without it, you will be lost.

Great Platform For Beginning BI Exploration

What do you like best about the product?
The system is extremely flexible from a transformation perspective and has a ton of prebuilt connectors to utilize. For heavy Salesforce shops, their connector is solid and can help accomplish furthering any type of Salesforce reporting.

Their transformation layer, MAGIC ETL, is outstanding as well. Can be a bit touchy, but allows anyone to perform fairly advanced transformation with ease.

Getting the platform stood up and getting data live is also very quick.We were able to build full dashboards with multiple complex data sets in a couple of days.
What do you dislike about the product?
The presentation layer is a bit lacking at this point. Filtering on pages is a bit clunky and not as smooth as some other tools (Wave, Tableau). They use Sumo tables for more traditional "table"/excel type reports and they are hideous on dashboards.

While the adaptability to all screen sizes is nice, it can make dashboards not appear as intended on small or larger screens. A bit of control or ability to resize more than 3 chart sizes would be a great enhancement.

Only have the ability to export as a PPT and no PDF one page option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved for the ability to answer questions that cross systems with limited integrations (Ticketing from Zendesk + Sales Data from Salesforce + ERP Data from Finance + Marketing data from Marketo). The ability to merge multiple data sources into one home has allowed us to give a more well-rounded picture to our teams.

We've also been able to utilize the data warehousing feature to look more at historical data and perform more complex analysis into trends across multiple datasets.

Efficient but not always reasonable tool

What do you like best about the product?
This has been a very efficient way for the SEM, SEO and display teams to organize their data in a way that is client facing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally automated reports wouldn't work (be it because of Domo or the system sending the report) and there was no way to know that the data was missing. I wish Domo would notify you if a placement didn't see any impressions for multiple days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Domo to streamline the reporting process for our digital advertising across SEM, SEO and display.

What do you like best about the product?
Has saved us countless time and money on manually pulling and analyzing data. Easy to setup. Very visual and digestible.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few kinks with some of the APIs but they are constantly being improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data visualization. There are so many APIs that it makes it easy to tell a story about anything. For instance we hooked it up to our basecamp to be able to see how many projects our project managers are working on at once.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate DOMO's ease of implementing, and connecting to data sources. The Domo platform is powerful for our group because it is our data warehouse, data mart, ETL tool, and visualization tool all under one umbrella. I couldn't imagine running a business without DOMO.
What do you dislike about the product?
It initially takes a little bit to understand the power of DOMO, and all it can handle. Once you understand all that you can do through beast mode, ETL tool, etc. it's amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to aggregate all of our data in one spot, disseminate it efficiently throughout the organization, and collaborate on it together through DOMO Buzz.

What do you like best about the product?
Domo provides a way to bring all your data together into one platform and share with your stakeholders. It allows us to make collaborative and informed decisions about the success of our efforts, track progress and identify roadblocks. It's interface is really good looking and easy to read.
What do you dislike about the product?
Domo tends to be expensive, especially for smaller companies. There's a huge learning curve, causing set up to take much longer than anticipated (or desired) and there aren't ad-hoc reporting capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Domo, we're able to share our metrics and dashboards across the company, combining our internal and external data to help us see the "big picture."
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get training or hire a Domo expert to help you get set up. Set up can be time-intensive.
