Qualys Vulnerability Management Solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's one shop for all your security needs (especially in the assessment area). There is no doubt that Qualys is one of the early players in the Vulnerability Assessment field. Qualys provides many robust solutions/features; recently, they introduced their VMDR, which offers organizations a comprehensive view of how to detect, patch, and remediate the discovered vulnerabilities on their target machines. Qualys Cloud agent concept is one of the best hassle-free solutions to assess the servers and endpoints continuously.
What do you dislike about the product?
License Price Tag
Can not access the scan logs
Delayed support response.
Unable to solve any of my issues on time. Every time I got the same response that this issue will be fixed in the next release.

Dashboarding, and got an unlimited number of virtual scanners to deploy under VMDR

Provides a good overview of vulnerabilities present on our networked devices
What do you like best about the product?
Qualys VMDR provides a good overview of different vulnerabilities present on the devices on our network. The interface is fairly clean (if a bit complex for first timers) but provides a lot of info that we just otherwise wouldn't have visibility on.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I mentioned above, it can be a bit daunting to look at at first. The sheer number of vulnerabilities that Qualys VMDR detects often results in the platform reporting that your network has 10s of thousands of holes in the network - figuring out what to tackle first can be overwhelming for some.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are all human, and miss things as a result. By utilizing this part of Qualys, VMDR, it allows our company to see things that we may have otherwise missed entirely. That is a huge boon for cybersecurity, especially in this day and age.

What do you like best about the product?
The new reporting feature. And all kind of graphical representation of the vulnerability for the month.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't download all the reports in different format in a go. We have to download the reports saperatly if we want to download them in different file types.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can run multiple scans at the same time and mention predefined asset type in the scans and schedule scans for future scans .

Better then other products available in the market but still need some work

A versatile tool for performing VA on different devices, servers and endpoints.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud platforms configuration assessment reporting can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VMDR gives you the flexibility of assessing your infrastructure by using scanners and Cloud agents. That helps us implement the solution in a hybrid model, as we are scanning the assets in DC via using the scanner and endpoints like laptop/Desktop using cloud agent.
Other than that, it also allows you to perform CIS benchmarking assessments without needing a separate license. That helps us to save the cost.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great Enterprise level tool to govern and manage any vulnerability assessment program. Very accurate detection of vulnerabilities and highly customizable reporting makes it even better. I highly recommend Qualys for any enterprise looking for a reliable vulnerability assessment solution.
Comprehensive product suite, requires dedicated resources to manage
What do you like best about the product?
The Asset Management function of VMDR provides significant visibility into the IT environment, foundational for security management. Depending upon modules licensed, you can manage asset vulnerabilities throughout the complete vulnerability lifecycle. When subscribed to Patch Manager, you can instantly patch discovered vulnerabilities in a small number of clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because a lot of modules need to be licensed to provide comprehensive management, licensing costs can build up and licensing the entire product suite can become expensive. Moreover, the product becomes less effective if not all modules are licensed. The real value of the product comes from tying asset management to vulnerability management and to patching / remediation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to implementing qualys, our vulnerability management had been siloed and solely managed via point-in-time scans by third party vendors. This product suite allows us to continuously manage vulnerabilities that we couldn't manage as effectively before.
Easy of vulnerability detection and Report generation
What do you like best about the product?
Qualys provides accurate Vulnerability results with fewer false positives. It can perform multiple scans to multiple hosts at the same time, and it can perform web application Vulnerability scans and Compliance scans against CIS and NIST benchmarks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Qualys Agent sometimes do stop running and still have not figured why so am currently using SCOM to ensure that agents are always running
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Qualys Enables us to accurately Detect and monitor Vulnerability State of our Assets and that ensure that right RIsk assessment is performed for patch management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Qualys will not only provide Vulnerability information for all your ON-Prem assets, it does also integrate into Cloud to give you full vulnerability information for cloud assets.
Strong resource with very detailed reports.
What do you like best about the product?
Qualys offers an easy-to-use, accurate product report. It takes quite a bit of preparation and time to set up a website. The platform does not allow you to simply jump in and start scanning hosts. So, to get new hosts into the system, you must run discovery scans consistently, and then manually add them to your scans.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is huge Qulays costs depending on the number of logins and if you have more logins to check you need to buy license based on the amount of logins and spend a lot of money on a license.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Qualys Vulnerability Detection tool is an excellent solution for security audits of web applications and it searches extensively in web applications and identifies the vulnerabilities in web applications, making it a great advantage for pen-testers to conduct security evaluations. And it's also capable of compliance scans and cloud scans, so we can do multiple scans in one device.

Qualys has multiple scanning features which will work on different bare metal operating system which is extremely important in a Enterprise infrastructure
What do you dislike about the product?
The scan sometimes says its sucessful even though it would not have done the scan; shows old data which is not good when reviewing changes

What do you like best about the product?
Getting feedbacks using qualys as a tool where multiple people use the same platform is the best part.

I liked the tool. There is no any dislike part

Using qualys we were scanning Web application and were performing frequent scanning.

It is one of the best application scanning tool.

It could be less expensive but I understand they are the best tool in the market.

We are able to see all devices missing patches and also look for devices that are vulnerable based on CVEs
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you deploy agents on all Endpoints and do authenticated scans as well. Don't forget grant access to your scanners on DMZs
