D2L Brightspace: a positive and functional experience
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of navigation, with a clear design that optimizes the organization of content and activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the data center confusing, although very rich in information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the institution, there was no Virtual Learning Environment, with the implementation of Brightspace, we now have an institutional space for sharing materials, information, and receiving activities.

A dynamic and multifaceted learning experience.
What do you like best about the product?
The wide range of tools and integrations sets it apart from other platforms. The native rewards feature significantly enhances student engagement without relying on external LTI tools. Customization is a key differentiator, allowing distinct layout designs tailored to the unique needs of each institution.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of information and various distinct tools, but not all of them are intuitive, often requiring extensive research within the Brightspace community. The API documentation can be somewhat confusing to read and comprehend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mass user insertion, comprehensive reports, and data on all learning experiences, along with native awards such as certificates and badges.
In my opinion, the best LMS currently on the market!

The pre-sale and post-sale support was and is fundamental to the success of the project. The ease of use and innovation of the platform surprises us.

So far, all the features meet our needs.

Brightspace is an easily accessible tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using the tool for a few years and have always liked the ease with which I learned the basic features. Some positive points of the tool are: The video tutorials on YouTube, which greatly facilitate our daily routine, all the customization we can do for each service, and the main thing is that we are talking about a tool that does not become unstable (this is what makes me recommend Brightspace to all my IT colleagues). The number of integrations we can do with other tools is very efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of a disadvantage, just a point of improvement I think that D2L could have phone support to address slightly more technical or urgent questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I am part of the tool's support team, I do not have access to these issues.
Excellent educational platform for students and teachers
What do you like best about the product?
After familiarizing myself with the platform, the practical and intuitive handling of the virtual environment are the things I value most in using D2L Brightspace. In my opinion, it offers many advantages compared to other virtual environments I have used as a student and later as a teacher, among them I highlight the variety and effectiveness of the interaction tools, and the excellent educational resources, which contribute significantly to engaging students by providing a more autonomous and complete learning process.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the few things I would change in D2L is the way some tools' commands are finalized within the platform, since once the command is saved in certain tools, there is no possibility to undo such a command.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L Brightspace offers a virtual environment of quality and excellence for our institution, which makes the experience of students and teachers very favorable for solving problems related to the use of multiple tools, integrating and centralizing everything in a single accessible and personalized environment, enabling quick interaction and communication, and excellently solving problems of feedback on activities and assessments, for example.

I highlight the customer support, as they are always ready and willing to help us, and the ease of use of the platform. Emphasizing the number of available resources and also the ease of integration.

I haven't encountered a disadvantage yet.

They are always innovating and willing to develop whatever is necessary, thus continuously improving the platform's performance;
Meets the needs and expectations
What do you like best about the product?
It is a complete and effective LMS. It has a huge range of information, both to display and to feed into the portal. It has agile support and, so far, effective, solving all doubts and needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation is not very objective, and some processes end up taking longer due to systemic "ties."

At the moment, I am not aware of any process.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform offers a multitude of tools and resources, which benefit both the development of activities by students, being a good means to develop learning, and the management of learning by teachers and the technical-pedagogical team. The teacher has various options to format their courses in a coherent and innovative way, so that studies in the distance learning modality are efficient for student learning.

Currently, nothing displeases the institution, as the tools provided and developed fully meet our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Each day, improving the tools for student activities that are done with the mediation of technology. The support is always quick and we rarely have any instability, which makes the institution confident about what it provides to the students.
My D2L Brightspace experience
What do you like best about the product?
The most valuable aspect of D2L Brightspace is their team. We have been collaborating with them for over a year, and whenever we've needed assistance from the implementation team, customer support, or our client success agent, we've received it promptly. The platform's key advantages are its stability and user-friendliness.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of D2L Brightspace is its discussions feature, which feels overly bureaucratic. I wish I could create a simple discussion topic that could be responded to without the need to set up a thread and a forum.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L Brightspace addresses our learning environment challenges by providing a stable platform for making learning materials available to our students, enabling teachers to assess assignments and communicate with them effectively. The primary benefit is having a single platform that meets all our teaching needs, establishing a consistent standard across our organization.
