Billing System Cut Over
What do you like best about the product?
Robust product with a lot of capability, and which aligns well with our business processes and needs
What do you dislike about the product?
That the "out of the can" reports do not work well enough to be useful without expert knowledge and/or additional cost to get set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deferred revenue roll outs made simpler
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend extra effort to try and identify exact needs and reports, and make sure the exact reports you need are part of your deal. DO not rely on canned reports, every business and process flow is different and things need to be tweaked, its almost a certainty.

Zuora: Payment Solution for All
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ability to review the platform through several search filters. The software is very user friendly and allows you to learn every day the more time you spend in the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the biggest struggle with my company today is linking Zuora to our ACH gateway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A few business problems we have solved with Zuora are combining multiple softwares into one. We have now rid of two other softwares including Auth.net and are working on getting rid of one more once we can pair our ACH gateway to Zuora.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great software for smaller companies looking to grow and expand.
Easy Billing with Zuora
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of the Billing integration with Salesforce. It is easy to interpret and easy for the end user to understand the customer's billing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sync between Zuora and Salesforce sometimes requires two or three tries but overall it integrates well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Updating the billing systems for our customers. We are transitioning from an old systems in hopes to manage all customers through the Salesforce CRM platform.
Difficult start
What do you like best about the product?
Automated quotes and pre built templates
What do you dislike about the product?
Editing capabilities after quote is sent is very limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting customers to sign quotes and agreements from our sales team. Very transactual.
Zuora has cause headaches for our team
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us better itemization on the invoices we send to customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is far more time consuming and bulky than the in house solution we'd previously used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better reporting for our financed teams, and better customer facing auto-generated invoices.
A solid range of features & function.
What do you like best about the product?
All the core features of billing needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a bit clunky and reminiscent of Quickbooks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Zuora, we're able to have insight and report on a much wider range of data related to our billing than we did without it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A great solution, but can be difficult to customize if you operate with special reporting and regulation requirements.
Rough Start with Zuora
What do you like best about the product?
One thing that's great is how it can integrate with all of our software. It can integrate with Salesforce and our admin software.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems outdated. There are also many clicks I have to make to accomplish a small task. Of all the software I have used for work, it is easily the one that took the most training. I still don't have it figured out a few months in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to make our data and tracking of what customers are paying for simpler, but we haven't really gotten that out of it quite yet. Hopeful we will once it is fully implemented.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I haven't seen any updates to the look or any improvements for making it more user friendly.
Zuora
What do you like best about the product?
Pretty straight forward application and user interface. Works well with basic setups. For basic subscriptions the system works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
No flexibility for custom schedules. Cannot handle multiple currencies for a single client. Have to create too many work-arounds to get billing completed. Out of the box compadibility with other products is only one way. Need to attach other products to ensure proper functionality. Lack of system controls and history for changes and updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Subscription billing. Simple process and for the most part it does work well with basic subscriptions. It works with majority of our subscriptions however it causes too many issues with the remainig part of our business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to test all scenarios that will be utilized with this Product. Also test instance where you would need to investigate a certain invoice or payment across systems, ie. SalesForce to Zuora or Zuora to the ERP, especially if there is a change from the original quote.
Great for subscription management and billing, less great for CPQ
What do you like best about the product?
Subscription management, billing are working smoothly, bery flexible, easy to use and scalble
What do you dislike about the product?
CPQ is from the billing side and less from the sales side which is why we get negative feedback from the sales people

Subscriprion management, billing and CPQ
Hard to figure out, but eventually makes sense
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is extremely customizable. You can create anything you like in terms of billing. It also helps you understand how things work on the backend of billing/invoicing.
What do you dislike about the product?
So many steps to complete anything! It takes so long to generate an invoice or navigate intra accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Billing and invoicing, reporting on sales and renewals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Might be worth it, if you don't mind dedicating a small team to spending their days figuring it out and teaching others.
