Siemens NX
What do you like best about the product?
Both CAE and CAM are advanced and well performing on Machines Like CNC
What do you dislike about the product?
It's interface is not as handy as other software but seems greats to handle when you start to use it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We usually work on DMG Mori NHX 5000 for some manufacturing and Siemens NX is our main tool on it

Highly Recommended Software For Design And Development Of A Product With Best Precision
What do you like best about the product?
UG NX Provide various types of tools like 3D Modelling, Sheet Metal, Surface Modeling And Drafting etc. And have so many layers that is very good for modelling purpose in that you can select different layers for different plane and angles. You can also search commands from command section.
What do you dislike about the product?
UG NX Required very powerful machine (i.e. RAM, Graphics Card etc). Complexity in user interface as compare to other CADD software.High licencing cost that is difficult for small scale industries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's Very Easy to get Mass properties like mass volume and cg. And Boolean opretion is world class features to add, subtract and intersect the part during modelling.

It has only one file format. And sheet metal having easy to use

NX Cad is Good but it takes too much time to understand UI. It is difficult for beginner.

We need to PDM Product data management UI to make it easy to understand.

What do you like best about the product?
NX software integration is the key factor for this software, saving a lot of time to do the same task on multiple platforms to get one model done. This makes work easier and saves time. Their high-quality rendering product provides excellent presentation. The availability of tools according to project requirements helps to work quickly and deliver the expected result with less effort. This platform provides good collaboration, helping me keep the client updated without extra effort and ensuring smooth coordination within the team.
There isn’t enough training material available, which made it hard for me to learn the platform in the beginning. However, their customer support system is quite good and helped me a lot in that phase.

What do you dislike about the product?
There’s nothing major to dislike about the NX platform, but it is quite expensive, and I think they could improve the UI. Also, there isn’t enough training material available, which made it difficult for me to learn the platform in the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps create complex designs of assemblies and product parts easily, which improves the quality of work. The PLM features help with coordination between the client and us. Additionally, multiple people from our side can access the same model, which helps deliver the product on time without affecting quality. The system can handle large files without crashing, saving a lot of time and effort. high-quality rendering and visualization tools help to create realistic presentations allows us to present effectively to the client

Essential for modern engineering projects
What do you like best about the product?
NX CAD has completely changed my design experience. I like how its interface is so intuitive to get around complicated projects. Seamless data management is essential for collaboration, so the integration with software such as Teamcenter is achieved. Its advanced features of simulation and parametric modeling save you tons of time and allows us to validate the designs before moving to the production. The outcome of this has been much more accurate and much more efficient for our project.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I wish was different with NX CAD is that it has a pretty long learning curve especially for greenhorn engineers. It can initially be quite an avalanche of information to process hence making the onboarding of new team members a difficult task. Further, the software may consume a lot of space on the pc and hence slow computers hinder productivity. I have also learnt to deal with odd bugs that require fixing and this is especially worse when the time is tight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX CAD solves many problems which are related to product design. From modeling to simulation we can also use it to test our designs before getting to the production phase. This capability has easily and greatly helped in minimizing the number of revisions we require hence saving time and other resources. Its integration tools provide ways with which members of a team can be put on to the same platform, thus helping to improve outcomes of projects.

What do you like best about the product?
The main advantage that I found in NX CAD is the modeling advanced tools that support me to produce close to reality and intricate shapes with the right level of detail. This one does not shrink even when dealing with large assemblies, a feature that is very desirable on complicated tasks. Furthermore, it is fully compatible with our PLM system so there are no problems for example with redesigning to manufacturing, all the teams work on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, NX CAD has its drawbacks - the program is not quite friendly for new employees, which means that the process of their training may take a lot of time. This can further drop the potential for coming up with strategies for improvisation that help the team to speed up on projects. Additionally, the resource requirement stands high and when used in a system, conflicts with available hardware and therefore there are cases of hanging a bit often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to its features, NX CAD allows addressing the task of effective cooperation within large design processes, enabling accurate modeling and making adjustments in processes and patterns. This has to the benefit of our work by expanding our capacity to execute bigger projects and to guarantee that our designs are realizable as well as precise. It also reduce mistakes during the designing phase, thus eliminating the possible wastage of a lot of time and resources.

What do you like best about the product?
It has powerful tools for creating complex shapes and geometries. And supports multiple design approaches, including parametric, direct modeling, and freeform. It can works well with other Siemens tools, like Teamcenter and Siemens Capital.
What do you dislike about the product?
I worked more than 4 years on NX CAD. And haven't faced any issues. Some features sometimes difficult to find. But it's manageable.

Complex Engineering Design, Drafting, Simulation, Engagement with Siemens Capital electrical tools and Teamcenter.
