Arctic Wolf assisting smaller IT shop

What do you like best about the product?
Partnering with Arctic Wolf has helped our small IT department better understand and manage our security efforts. It has allowed us to free up staff time to focus on what needs to be accomplished without spending a ton of time analyzing logs and false positive alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The risk management product is excellent but can be a little overwhelming when looking at prioritization. Generating ad-hoc reports isn't very intuitive, but their canned reports give us most of the time information needed. They are willing to work with you on improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Cyber Insurance requirements consistently changing and being a small IT department, it was essential to partner up with an established security service leader. Arctic Wolf provides a great inside of our infrastructure with reports, alerts, and notifications. Regular reviews with our team help us determine where to focus our efforts to reduce risk.

Their Concierge Support Team (CST) is terrific! They're quick and helpful with any questions I have.

What do you like best about the product?
I'm newly entering the Cybersecurity field and SIEMs are a must-have for a Security team. The alerts are typically useful and informative as well as their security recap meetings, where they focus on specific subjects that can help our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any downsides to the Arctic wolf or its products. No idea on their cost or their competitor's cost, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SIEMs create a dashboard across various other log sources and products. Arctic Wolf's SIEM is top notch and their website is very user-friendly.

Excellent and prompt service, great security company

  • July 22, 2022

What do you like best about the product?
Prompt alert notification and responses
Very security minded
Friendly customer service
Getting a dedicated security team
They'll work with you to customize/suppress alerts if needed
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides, so far we are very happy with the service!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are watching security logs from numerous systems and alerting us of potential issues. This has helped us in the sense that we do not have staff to dedicate to this very important task, allowing us to review and confirm if we believe this is a risk or not, knowing that they are there to help any way they can.

Good onboarding and support, but tech lacks some polish

  • May 23, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The onboarding experience was great compared to other security products we have used in the past. They really work with you to get the product fully up and running, which can be a big hurdle to get over. The CST concept works pretty well and keeps regular review of identified issues front of mind.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting tools, especially managed risk, leaves a fair bit to be desired. The UI is pretty rough and can be hard to fully understand what we need to do to resolve the identified problem. AW says they know about the issue of their UI and are working on a new version, but before having that I would give a pretty low grade on managed risk specifically. A lot of our time is wasted trying to deal with what often appears to be just a UI issue. The detection of risks and ranking of them has been pretty good though, despite the UI issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated security training, automated risk detection and remediation, and automating threat detection and action. All of that while having a supportive team of security professionals to help us through all of these things.

Great line of security defense

  • April 26, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Arctic Wolf is a great asset to our front-line security defense. They provide an abundance of risk alerts, vulnerability testing, and zero-day bulletins. With as many attack vectors as there are today, we simply wouldn't be able to keep up without a dedicated person... and AW is our perfect person for that.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web portal can be quite daunting based on the sheer volume of possible risks. It's nothing against the product, but nobody like a never-ending list of security weaknesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arctic Wolf's risk analysis, scanning appliances, and continual monitoring greatly help in securing our workstations, servers, and core infrastructure. It has been an invaluable player in helping to achieve the security certification that is required within certain industries of today.

We couldn't live without our relationship with Arctic Wolf

What do you like best about the product?
Arctic wolf has been immensely helpful in providing guidance and being a part of the solution for securing our network. I can rest easy at night knowing that they will notify me of any major issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
What can you say bad about a company that has great ROI, professional and knowledgeable support, and much more? I suppose if there has to be something said at all, is that it isn't a free service. However, no great service comes for free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing Arctic Wolf to provide steps for securing our data and network. We send logs to a sensor on-prem that is forwarded to Artic Wolf cloud. With these logs, we don't have to spend hours parsing through them to see if there is any attacks, malicious users in our network, etc. Arctic Wolf notifies us from the logs we provide if they see anything alarming.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Timely response to security issues and easy to reach out to with any questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some alerts do not have enough details and the follow up to our responses can be delayed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Arctic Wolf is assisting with NMAP scans to help secure our environment. Additionally, they have recommended many tools that we can use to further secure out environment.

    Kemet J.

Premier managed security service provider

  • January 26, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Artic Wolf has given us insight into potential security and vulnerability issues in our company. The alerts ensure that we follow up on any issues, and reports that are sent out each week are well received by management and allow us to identify and address potential security issues. Our concierge service with them has been outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding process is slightly daunting but is to be expected with this type of implementation. A lot of fine tuning is needed to weed out some of the initial alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cyber security has always been important to our organization. It's important to have a robust platform that we could grow with and a partner that would continue to adapt and evolve with the threat landscape.

Breath Easier Managed Security

  • January 25, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
24x7 eyes on glass that no SMB or mid-sized enterprises could build themselves without a lot of dedicated security staff. Really like getting instant notifications of threats that need attention, weekly reviews and monthly summaries of security threats. Improving our security posture constantly. Great value for the services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downside is not acting quickly enough on the threats or prioritizing your own risk. Take the time to read and study the assessments. Graphics could be slightly improved or perhaps offering a daily dashboard for total security assessment. Could be a future next steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security is ever growing problem and trying to improve your security posture needs continuous attention. Arctic Wolf helps focus attention on severity, alert on events and helps lower risk. They are also alerting on new vulnerabilities. Definitely rest easier knowing that they are helping us keep watch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't wait on a solution, deploy now. Easy to configure and get started, quick setup time and great onboarding experience.

Top-notch security vendor

What do you like best about the product?
Their managed risk service has help us remediate vulnerabilities much faster and easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really no downside to using AWN that we've encountered so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are constantly looking at our risk score and comparing it against other financial institutes' benchmarks. We've been able to remediate over 2000 vulnerabilities on over 100 endpoints in a single year. Other vendors that we've used in the past were unable to detect risks at the granular level that AWN does.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly suggest deploying their iSensors with the Managed Risk Service.
