Very simple to use and deploy

What do you like best about the product?
The way user accounts a more created locally instead of needing an domain to control everything
What do you dislike about the product?
It does lack some features that would make it helpful...Group Policy is a good example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this for my small office and it helps keep the cost down from having to mangage an On premise AD
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This works great for Directory user control for small to mid sized businesses with one or two locations

Great replacement for Active Directory

What do you like best about the product?
Allowed us to completely get rid of all of our Active Directory domain controllers as a part of our migration to the cloud
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the SAML SSO Connections were a little challenging to set up
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single Sign-On and local user accounts on our systems

Easy to deploy, works across many environments

What do you like best about the product?
The offering is simple but comprehensive. We've used it to manage access to employee laptops (local accounts on both macs and PCs), Linux servers (with ssh-keys), radius wifi, g-suite and other web application, and LDAP (for non-sso capable resources). There is very little we cannot control access to through JumpCloud. The interface is relatively easy to understand but still provides a great deal of flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly very little now. They used to have a confusing "tag" system rather than groups but that has been replaced and I am very happy with it. Managing the deployment on Macs can bit a little of a pain. Apple apparently consistently releases breaking changes and so jumpcloud is always warning to not update to the latest OSX until they have a new release (this can be managed through policies though so it's not a huge issue... just a nuisance).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to jumpcloud we had all local accounts on laptops and our server fleet. Now I have consistent password policies and access control for all employees across a variety of resources. Enrolling users and removing access to critical resources now takes just a few minutes.

The ability to coordinate logins from an admin portal is phenomenal
What do you dislike about the product?
There's little to dislike, the functionality is great. Maybe more support documentation?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Admin control over end user touchpoints

Jump Cloud

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is an amazing online active directory, giving full group policy control for all my devices.
I don't need to sign in via VPN to access my network and make a change, I can literally do it from anywhere that has a stable internet connection. Changing passwords within a few seconds has really saved a lot of time
What do you dislike about the product?
When a windows update runs, it changes the Group Policies to default
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a physical Server. I can edit policies, change passwords, etc. on the go.
I do not need to be at any system physically to run a GP Update or any sort of command.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a phenomenal AD system without the hassel of having a physical server.

What do you like best about the product?
A single solution to account creation and deactivation across all SSO, SAML, or LDAP connected services.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a rare and short (2 hour) outage on internet due to off site equipment failure from our ISP. We quickly found out that our LDAP connections to our local legacy services failed without the JumpCloud authentication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have greatly reduced our on and off boarding time spent on staff and student accounts. Where we used to have to hit between 5 and 8 different servers / services for account creation and authentication for new staff or students, now we just tie it in with the SSO, SAML, or LDAP and within less than 1/8th of the time we are complete.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Research all of the cost of other services. I found that by the time you figure in all of the setup time, licensing, maintenance, replacement over time for on premises solutions the cost equals or is less through JumpCloud.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to manage users and the systems they have access to remotely. It is easy to setup access for new employees and remove old access. It has been very interesting learning the new way of updating access versus the traditional Microsoft Windows -> Control Panel ->Users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had some issues with syncing; the changes made in the cloud can take some time to update on the computer. There was an issue with complete disconnection at one point. If for some reason the system gets disconnected from the Cloud Administration/User Management system, it requires a professional to fix the issue... I do not know if I could do it myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On/off-boarding was a problem before.
We can remove old employees and retain their files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using G-Tech for implementation. He can do setup remotely and manage the services.
