Jumpcloud turns chaos into structure. .what MS AD wants to be
What do you like best about the product?

What do you dislike about the product?
Mac implementation notes were missing a few gotchas. . Policies aren't quite perfect, but are close

Swiss Army Knife for Access control
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud can be the central hub for you entire organization whether you are on Linux windows Mac or all. It can use the same identities to authenticate to most all Enterprise applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really is not much to dislike. I suppose they could always have more out-of the box integrations. But you can always use saml or openidconnect
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems are mostly IT in nature. We have lots of users with the need to access many different 3rd party apps. It's difficult to manage otherwise.
Great solution for small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to push out policies remotely
What do you dislike about the product?
No portal for approved software download
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems really, it's a handy tool to push out policies. Being able to rename PCs remotely such as PC-%SERIAL% would be a brilliant tool to have
one app to rule them all
What do you like best about the product?
While JumpCloud is a web based LDAP they also have a lite system manager, and SAML, thus for a company like ours (mostly BYoD) it offers three solutions for a smaller price than one
What do you dislike about the product?
wish the system manager was more robust and had some MDM features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAML, system management, LDAP, etc.
Best decision ever made
What do you like best about the product?
All cloud based and easy to use software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven’t found anything I’ve dislikes yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Get rid of Acive directory and servers.
Great, new interface is better than before
What do you like best about the product?
LDAP as a service is great for controlling ssh access in our infrastructure. We use it to centrally control logins to our environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes LDAP is a little flaky and we get some weird connection errors on and off. We get around this with sssd cache but it is slightly annoying. Interface is also a bit confusing and GSuite sync can be a bit odd.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's been really the only service we found that provides SSO plus a good LDAP that can be used to control ssh
Great alternative to Active Directory!
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to manage JumpCloud without jumping through a bunch of hoops
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it to have some more functionality to manage end user PCs and for billing to be a bit better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this to bind computers to a AD like system without having servers on site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a trial of this first to make sure that it fits your needs.
Jumpcloud to the Rescue
What do you like best about the product?
Facing the challenge of replacing aging servers moving to the age of cloud and a serverless environment. I was faced with the challenge of finding a cost-effective cloud-based AD solution. I searched and found JumpCloud started using the free product and the rest is history. They continue to provide a solid cloud based AD platform with alot of added features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more reporting options within the admin portal
