We now have forensics and went from 2 AV's to just SentinelOne
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do the trainings. There is so much you can do in SentinelOne. You can do deep Forensics

Excellent product
What do you like best about the product?
Having an Endpoint protection solution in our environment that flags and prevents any potential threats on both the client and server endpoints, is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometime difficult to upgrade the client on an Endpoint from the console.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection against potential threats on client and server endpoints. SentinelOne has meant we now no longer need to dedicate considerable resource to this aspect of security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Buy it.
A bit Convoluted
What do you like best about the product?
SentinelOne has a Clean Aesthetic and a solid backbone for security. The dashboard has great tools for remotely commanding endpoints. Since implementing we have not had a *real malware attack, and thanks to the dashboard, we can tell its done its job in protection. They have a great support team to help with issues along the way, unfortunately you will more than likely need to reach out often.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we first implemented SentinelOne, there was a faux malware attack spreading through out our network. Thanks to their great support, we resolved it to being an old AV software fighting sentinel one. However in that time we got Thousands of email notifications and even more popups for the end user system. The software did not give any useful information other than the raw name it found.
The dashboard, while good looking, is riddled with menus and sub menus, all using proprietary terminology that makes it difficult to understand right away. The installation process is quick, once you navigate 7-8 layers of menus to get the correct information to do so. I would like to see a more "straight forward" menu system that has less sub-menu and vague terminology.

Security can be tricky to manage in one place when you have a larger network. SentinelOne has made a good attempt at this, and it has helped with showing clients a report that their network is secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be Aware this software is geared towards the advanced administrator who want total control of their network and security. It will also likely take a large initial time investment to become familiar with the dashboard and SentinelOne's terminology. and even after that, they have made major changes to their layout, causing more time investment to re-learn. However it is solid security once implemented.
Fresh, Innovative, and Responsive!
What do you like best about the product?
Current technology, advanced AI effective against threats and behavioral attacks. Responsive support teams providing some of the best technical and customer service and support I've experienced in over 25 years in IT. Committed and dedicated executive team, passionate and knowledgeable about the technology
What do you dislike about the product?
Still some maturity needed around agent versions, cadence, bugs - especially in Linux, but very helpful and responsive team - quick to solve issues and provide fixes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
behavioral malware threats, and anti-virus, EDR, Incident Response.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
as with any A/V roll-out, ensure processes in place for application tuning, exclusions/exceptions, escalation, asset management.
Very good
What do you like best about the product?
Sentinel one is very reliable and provide us peace of mind. It covers us from virus but also every script with a bad behavior. A must have for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
it should be harder to blacklist a critical exe like svchost. Could lead to misusage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
very strong detection of virus even if they are developed just for targeting you.
Easy deployment and rapid adoption
What do you like best about the product?
There is a ton of data you can get out of SentinelOne.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any EDR or endpoint client there are numerous exclusions that need to be put in for it to operate well with other products. I wish there was an easier way to implement them based on other products used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have greater visibility into machines and can get data back from them whether or not they’re on the corporate network.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend to research exclusions necessary for interoperability with other products and applications.
Great EDR solution
What do you like best about the product?
Great, easy to use cloud portal. The in-depth analysis and path tracing is a great tool to use to find root causes. Ranger is helping us to identify rogue/shadow IT machines that sites were hiding from corporate policy. The software vulnerability tool has helped us to find a wide variety of 3rd party applications that needed patching. We also use the Vigilance service to proactively monitor our portal which gives me more time to work on the issues that matter.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could use some better, more in depth reporting. The executive overviews are good, but not for my needs. For ranger, I wish there was a way to whitelist machines being detected, and allow specific vendors as trusted sources that we cannot install on. Client Updates are not an auto roll-out option. Going between version requires manual push from the console. Update failures do not always give concrete reasons as to why.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The software vulnerability tool has helped us to find old unpatched 3rd party software that needed upgrading, Ranger has helped us to find some Shadow IT boxes that the sites have created and tried to hide away from corporate policy.
SentinelOne, The Myth is Real
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of deployment has to be one of the unspoken secrets to SentinelOne. This product was a breeze to deploy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've not found anything I do not like. I'm so impressed by the capabilities of the core product as well as the Ranger product. Always looking for systems we may have missed makes me sleep better at night.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stopping a threat of any kind in its tracks was the problem we needed to solve. SentinelOne does this so I can sleep at night. Prior to SentinelOne we were constantly getting alerts that were false positives at all hours of the day and night.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you get down to the two primary competitors SentinelOne and Carbon Black... Ask Carbon Black about the additional modules and pricing. Also ask them about the support. They only provide their best support for the big companies. Smaller companies like mine don't get the best support. That played a key role in picking SentinelOne.
A Low-Maintenance, Modern EDR Solution for Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
Sentinel One has multiple advantages:
1) Responsive and knowledgeable customer support
2) Easy segmentation of sites and groups
3) Excellent dashboard and customizable alerting that put the events that matter in front of your eyes
4) Constant updates and new feature adds every day
5) Easy and intuitive interface
6) Powerful, low-impact agents. I have yet to receive a call about S1 hogging resources.
7) Powerful Day-0 protection. We have created custom scripts to run against installed agents and they have blocked everything that we have thrown at them.
Coming from environments that have used McAfee, Cisco AMP, Bitdefender, Kaspersky, and Crowdstrike, S1 beats them all in almost every category. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides:
1) Endpoint agents could benefit from a GUI for settings
1) Endpoint agents could benefit from a GUI for settings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need a centralized EDR across multiple companies that provides the most value with the lowest re-occurring maintenance. Sentinel One gives us all of that.
A highly effective option for enterprise security
What do you like best about the product?
SentinelOne Endpoint has given my company much more peace of mind. Our servers and workstations are now protected 24/7 with a product that is highly effective. The user interface enables me to look up and address any potential threat found very quickly. The ability to remediate or, if necessary, rollback any attacks with ease is another solid feature. The deployment process is also very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes time to identify and eliminate false positives during the deployment process. The product is very sensitive and will find a number of legitimate applications and mark them as suspicious. The product did not a user's browser from being hijacked by adware. I needed to use another product to resolve this instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have identified an unexpectedly large amount of USB thumb drive usage. Tools within SentinelOne have allowed us to lock down USB ports across our environment while also allowing us to make exceptions to this new policy. These exceptions can be as granular as only allowing a certain USB's serial number.
