Review for Microsoft SQL Server
What do you like best about the product?
It came up with Apache Spark & Hadoop Distributed system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I liked all the features of Microsoft SQL Server. be it SQL based or be it NoSql Based.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created different DB tables in it that we are using to serve out Spring REST based applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Microsoft SQL Server 2019 : The fastest way to serve your RDBS & NoSql based needs.
Excellent enterprise-grade relational database and modern OS
What do you like best about the product?
I've been working with SQL Server for 25 years or so and love it; as a WinForms and .NET developer and DBA it's been an excellent, robust, stable, and easily used database server. SQL Server 2019 takes it to new heights with all the advancements of the last decade including query store, in-memory tables, Azure (and AWS) replication, and many other things. Windows Server 2019 is also highly advanced with container support, its GUI-less core low-attack-surface installation and more. SQL Server 2019 on Windows Server 2019 gives you a great foundation for enterprise-grade cloud-first applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing can be a nuisance to figure out, and can also be expensive when based on cores.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to modernise our applications with a high-performing database that had all the latest features for in-memory support while also deploying apps in a container-based model to ensure dependent software is all self-contained to avoid versioning conflicts, and to help deploy new apps easily - we simply spin up new containers and destroy the old ones.
