Simple to use data platform
What do you like best about the product?
MarkLogic worked best cuz its capabilities as a NoSQL database that combines the features of a document-oriented database and a search engine. It appeals to be cuz it is schema-agnostic because it doesn't require a fixed schema, which allows for flexible data modeling and easy adaptation to changing data structures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably would be the learning curve that MarkLogic had for users who came from using relational databases. It has features like semantic technology and document-centric data model may require some time to fully understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps a lot when handling unstructured or semi-structured data as we struggled with managing unstructured data, such as documents, media files, or metadata. MarkLogic provided a document-centric approach and support for multiple data formats allowing us to store, index, search, and analyze various types of data efficiently, leading to better content management and data utilization.

Very Efficient, Intuitive, Versatile and Seamless tool for all data needs

This software exceeds my expectations. It is very intuitive with it's interface and simplifies data management tasks, making it accessible for all users of all skill levels. What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I experienced witht this tool is that it often crashes despite having a breadth of features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of organizing and storing vast amounts of data efficiently and very effectively. Very easy to pull the right , accurate and desired info with simple queries. The benefits of this tools are many and not limited to the enhanced productivity, better decision making capabilities for furutre predictions.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about MarkLogic is the support of multiple dimensions with respect to features provided in No-SQL DB. Capable in variety of use cases and excelled in operational, transactional and analytical applications. It natively support document data, semantic graph data and geospatial data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such. But when compared to Elastic Search, it is less popular. But it didn't mean that MarkLogic is incapable in scalability or search capabilities but rather it offers flexible multi-model approach.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used to search and analyse the application cybersecurity vulnerability data and insights into application vulnerabilities. To align these issues quickly with the respective stakeholders.
Marklogic is an excellent NoSQL Database, Application Server and ETL tool combined into one.
What do you like best about the product?
Marklogic offers wide range of products under a single subscription. These include Multi Modal NoSQL Database (supporting Json, XQuery, binary, triples), Application Server (supporting XQuery, Javascript and Rest API) and ETL tool called Marklogic Data Hub. Additional good features are support for third party tools like Apache NiFi, BI tools like Power BI and Tableau etc, support for ACID transacitons, excellent and thorough documentation etc
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the major drawbacks with using Marklogic is lack of resources skilled in Marklogic as it is not a very popular tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Marklogic as an ETL tool and also as a graph database

The license cost is extremely high and so is the amount of space required to store data.

A variety of data gets handled easily and perfectly. Data is very secure and access to db is faster from mongoDB.

I was not able to find vector search stuff.

Marklogic is the only enterprise NoSQL database bringing all the features you need into one unified system, It is document centric, Structure aware, clustered, transactional & secure database server with builtin search & full suite of application services.

Sometimes its difficult to understand how does snoqflake fits in th picture
