What is a WMS (Warehouse Management System)?

A warehouse management system (WMS) is software that manages and optimizes warehouse operations from receiving inventory items to storage, picking, packing, and shipping. A WMS provides visibility into inventory levels and coordinates and automates warehouse activities.
