You buy annual license packs at three tiers, each sold in fixed bundle sizes. The Starter bundle covers 200 licenses for teams building project plans. The Advanced bundle covers 100 licenses for managing work across initiatives. The Enterprise bundle covers 100 licenses for organizations needing centralized visibility, control, and support. Each tier builds on the one below it, so Advanced adds to Starter capabilities and Enterprise adds to Advanced. Pricing scales by the number of licenses in each pack and the tier you choose. All licenses run on a yearly term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one license for billing across these tiers?
One license equals one user seat. Each person who needs to access and edit work uses one license. External guests do not consume a license and can join at no added cost. You buy licenses in fixed packs: 200 for Starter, 100 for Advanced, and 100 for Enterprise.
What do the Advanced and Enterprise tiers add on top of the tier below?
Advanced builds on Starter by adding portfolios, goals, approvals, proofing, time tracking, and business intelligence connections. Enterprise builds on Advanced by adding single sign-on, user provisioning, universal workload, capacity planning, service accounts, and view-only licenses. Each tier includes everything from the tier beneath it.
What is not included in these license packs and may cost extra?
Some capabilities sit outside the base license. Timesheets and budgets are a separate add-on. Compliance management and permissions management are add-ons on Enterprise. AI Studio includes basic credits per tier, but higher usage requires paid credit options. These extras are not part of the annual license packs.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the integration and the option to have multiple projects and programs linked to different portfolios. I also appreciate the Asana interface. The ability to integrate Asana with our artificial intelligence and collaboration tools avoids unnecessary redundancies, allowing everything to be reported on the necessary platforms using just this tool. I also direct my reports to the leadership layers and ensure consistency in how project managers present the status of projects and programs, which is possible thanks to automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything I dislike at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can centralize the management of projects and programs, have visibility at the portfolio level, and unify capabilities, eliminating redundancies and dependencies in Excel and other tools. The integration avoids redundancy and allows me to report easily through a single platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Maintaining projects and being able to break them down into digestible steps is extremely helpful. The tools that Asana offers within the product are extremely helpful to keeping work moving and my team informed
What do you dislike about the product?
I think this is more on me, but when changes are made, I wish there were training or a recap. There actually might be, via the academy, but I have not participated in or seen those previously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a fully remote company and moving projects async has been amazing! It cuts our meeting time and with a simple voice memo we can have team members review projects and start work without having to have a 30 minute call or meeting
