The manufacturing industry has experienced a significant increase in cloud adoption over the past 10 years, indicating a growing demand for specialized expertise in domain-specific technologies. As companies seek to modernize and take advantage of the cloud, there is an opportunity for technology providers to offer solutions that accelerate cloud adoption and innovation.
To support this journey, we’re excited to announce the AWS Manufacturing and Industrial Competency, which helps customers expedite their time to results, optimize operations, seek new revenue streams, and/or generate sustainable business operations, while reducing their carbon footprint.
Previously called the AWS Industrial Software Competency, the expanded AWS Manufacturing and Industrial Competency includes new categories to further differentiate partners and help customers and sellers find the right solution for their unique business needs.
New categories include engineering and design, smart manufacturing (robotics, worker safety, and productivity), smart product and services, enterprise solutions, operational technology security, supply chain management, sustainability, and operational technology for an end-to-end value chain.
By launching this expanded Competency, we aim to help manufacturing customers accelerate cloud migration by leveraging the expertise of AWS Partners.
“Our manufacturing customers are at different stages of their digital transformation journey, and we’re excited to help them discover validated partner solutions and services with our Manufacturing and Industrial Competency,” says Grant Bodley, Director of Manufacturing and Industrial Sales at AWS. “Our customers now have a place they can go to find software, hardware, and consulting partners for their industrial edge to cloud transformation.”
AWS Partners earn the Manufacturing and Industrial Competency badge after successfully completing a rigorous review of their delivery model and technical skills, and by demonstrating customer success in the form of case studies.
