AWS Named a Leader in 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud AI Developer Services

Industry analyst firm Gartner has published its annual report evaluating cloud AI developer services, the 2022 Magic Quadrant for Cloud AI Developer Services (CAIDS). Amazon Web Services (AWS) was once again named a Leader and placed highest among 13 recognized vendors for “Ability to Execute.”

We’re honored by the recognition from Gartner, and we’re sharing the report here because we believe it offers guidance to AWS Partners and customers at a time when developers need artificial intelligence (AI) services for a variety of use cases. This includes enhancing customer experience, improving employee productivity, optimizing business processes, or creating completely new products and services.

Choosing the right provider for cloud AI developer services is critically important right now. AWS Partners can leverage this report with their customers to showcase the value that AWS will bring to them.

We are especially pleased that Gartner recognized AWS’s attractiveness for workloads due to low operational costs and the breadth of our AI services and infrastructure choices. Gartner says, “AWS excels in terms of AI operationalization and production scalability. Using Amazon SageMaker, developers can deploy trained models in production environments with a single click. Additionally, SageMaker’s architecture enables developers to integrate their new models into an application simply by giving basic instance specifications, and changes to models do not require changes to application code.”

AWS AI services provide ready-made intelligence for your applications and workflows to help you do things like advanced text analytics, chatbots, document analysis, demand forecasting, image and video analysis, or real-time translation among others. We have also launched purpose-built solutions, which use these AI services as building blocks to solve common AI use cases like intelligent document processing (IDP), contact center intelligence, personalization, fraud detection, intelligent aearch, or AI for DevOps, among others.

We also provide a suite of AI services for the industrial sector like Lookout for Vision to automate quality inspection, or Amazon Monitron and Lookout for Equipment for predictive maintenance. In healthcare, we provide services for medical transcription, medical text comprehension, and Amazon HealthLake, a new HIPAA-eligible service to store, transform, query, and analyze petabytes of health data in the cloud.

For those who prefer to build their own models, Amazon SageMaker allows data scientists, MLOps engineers, and business analysts to build, train, and deploy machine learning models for any use case with fully managed infrastructure, tools, and workflows.
