Redefining the Partner Digital Experience with AWS Partner Central 2.0
By Abhishek Kher, Sr. Product Manager – AWS
By Raj Kandaswamy, Sr. Product Manager – AWS
As part of our commitment to improving the partner experience, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is excited to announce the launch of AWS Partner Central 2.0—a redesigned partner portal that simplifies and improves your ability to build, market, and sell with AWS.
We heard partner feedback on the importance of an easy-to-use and fast-performing tool to manage all of their AWS Partner activities. AWS Partner Central 2.0 delivers these benefits by introducing:
- New site navigation and menu structure to align with the build, market, sell partner journey.
- A modern look and feel across Partner Central, consistent with other AWS tools.
- Faster load times on commonly used Partner Central pages, including the homepage and partner scorecard.
- Improved personalization with two new role assignment options (Technical Staff and Marketing Staff) and customized UI based on assigned user role, AWS Partner Path, and path stage.
- In-app guidance for help with site navigation and common workflows.
To support this first release, we rebuilt several AWS Partner Central pages using the latest tech stack to improve page load times and help you collaborate more efficiently with AWS. These enhancements make it easier for AWS Partners to build and list products and services, access training and resources, and collaborate with AWS for co-selling and technical support.
Redesigned User Experience
Built with the partner journey in mind, pages and content on AWS Partner Central are now organized in a new top navigation menu aligned to a partner’s learn, build, market, sell journey.
Below each menu item are logically nested sub-menu items, allowing partners to seamlessly browse content and navigate between pages. This new top navigation menu—along with all pages, data tables, and dashboards rebuilt in this release—feature modern styling and improved usability. Partners can watch the Partner Central 2.0 overview video for a preview of the new look and feel (login required).

New User Roles and Personalization
To better curate the wealth of content on AWS Partner Central, we’ve personalized elements on the menu based on a user’s role, their company’s Partner Path, and path stage. This helps users find relevant content that matches specific needs or interest based on their role. It also helps organizations progress through stage and tier requirements faster by surfacing content they need to act on.
Additionally, we’re introducing two new role assignment options to help organizations scale their efforts with the AWS Partner Network (APN) even faster. With the new Marketing Staff and Technical Staff role assignment options, partners can now engage even more users in their organization.
Organizations can grant more team members access to content relevant to their role, helping their technical and marketing teams leverage AWS Partner benefits such as AWS Training and Certification and AWS Marketing Central to grow their cloud businesses.
Alliance Leads can now leverage their entire team to maximize the benefits their organizations accrue as AWS Partners. Partners can learn more about these new roles, as well as the ACE User, ACE Manager, and Alliance Team roles introduced in 2021, in the AWS Partner Central User Roles & Permissions guide (login required).

Future releases in 2023 will build on this progress with additional performance and user experience improvements across all AWS Partner Central pages as we continue to modernize and enhance the portal to provide a world-class digital experience.
The next AWS Partner Central 2.0 release (expected by end of Q1) will include UX and performance improvements to the ACE Pipeline Manager’s opportunity management pages.
