In today’s digital landscape, the sheer volume of security data generated across organizations presents a significant challenge. Ingesting and storing this raw data in observability tools or security systems becomes increasingly complex as scale grows.

To provide Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers with efficient, scalable, and user-friendly solutions in security data management, we’re excited to announce the Amazon Security Lake Ready Specialization. This AWS Specialization recognizes AWS Partners who have technically validated software solutions with demonstrated customer success that integrate with Amazon Security Lake.

Amazon Security Lake uses the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF), an industry standard schema supported by the Linux Foundation. OCSF helps customers address the challenges of data normalization and schema mapping across multiple log sources. Amazon Security Lake Ready Partners offer validated solutions that allow customers to store security data in an open-source format, ready for identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities, and for security investigations and analytics.

Amazon Security Lake streamlines data management, reducing costs and centralizing customer-owned security data. Amazon Security Lake Ready Partner solutions can either contribute to or consume this data, providing analytics and delivering a cohesive security solution for AWS customers.

These validated solutions help security teams collect and analyze data from across their organization, enhancing the protection of workloads, applications, and data. Customers can integrate data from third-party security solutions, other cloud sources, and custom data (such as internal application logs or network infrastructure) converted to OCSF.

Amazon Security Lake Ready Partner solutions are categorized as either source or subscriber:

  • Source Partner solutions send logs and security events to the security data lake in OCSF, and meet the Security Lake custom source requirements. Customers can now save their security logs for years if needed in their Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) buckets with Amazon Security Lake.
  • Subscriber Partner solutions help customers analyze and address a variety of security use cases such as threat detection, investigation, and incident response. Subscriber Partners analyze logs in the OCSF format from Amazon Security Lake.

Amazon Security Lake Ready Partner solutions centralize logs and security data—enabling organizations to gain visibility into their infrastructure and identify potential threats. This allows customers to investigate security events, determine remediation steps, and implement preventative measures. By streamlining these processes, these validated solutions help customers enhance their overall security posture and response capabilities.
