Esri and AWS are extending their collaboration through an extensive integration of product suites and services. This includes Amazon QuickSight leveraging Esri basemap tiles through Amazon Location Service. Esri also supports ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes running with Amazon EKS, and interoperability with Amazon Redshift. Esri‘s GIS solutions create, manage, analyze, and map various types of geospatial data. Their flagship GIS mapping software, ArcGIS, is a powerful mapping and spatial analytics technology.

Element 84, in collaboration with AWS and Geoscience Australia, has released the Sentinel-2 Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) dataset on AWS Open Data. Sentinel-2 is an important platform for Earth observation, and its imagery contributes to ongoing research in climate change, land use, and emergency management. By making the Sentinel-2 archive more cloud-native, we are making the data more user-friendly and (hopefully) making the lives of emergency managers, climate scientists, and policy makers that much easier.

AWS helps first responders, public safety agencies, and emergency and disaster response organizations complete their mission and mitigate impact to communities affected by emergencies and disasters. In 2019, we announced the launch of the AWS Public Safety & Disaster Response Competency for AWS Consulting Partners. Now, we are excited to launch an additional track within this AWS Competency that showcases specialized and dedicated AWS Technology Partners.

To receive the AWS Competency designation, APN Partners must undergo rigorous technical validation and assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their AWS solutions. To help APN Consulting Partners better understand this process and our validation requirements, we are releasing new versions of the AWS Competency Validation Checklists. The checklists highlighted in this post are for APN Consulting Partners.

The annual Global Partner Summit was held Dec. 2-6 at AWS re:Invent 2019, and we are excited to introduce the APN’s new program launches and key initiatives for 2020. Global Partner Summit helps APN Partners to leverage AWS technologies and learn how the APN program can help companies build, market, and sell their AWS-based offerings. This post will showcase the new APN programs that partners can take advantage of today, including AWS Service Ready and the APN Global Startup Program.
