AWS named as a Challenger in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms

AWS has been named as a Challenger in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms, previously known as Gartner Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability Magic Quadrant. This report assesses vendors based on their Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. Compared to the previous year, AWS has moved up higher on the Ability to Execute axis.

AWS offers an end-to-end observability solution that collects and consumes data form multiple sources; processes and contextualizes the data; and monitors, alarms, visualizes, and analyzes the data for insights from all workloads and infrastructure whether they are on-premises, hybrid, containerized, multicloud, or open source. AWS Observability helps Site Reliability Engineers, DevOps teams, and leaders achieve critical goals such as maintaining reliable operations, providing first-in-class digital experiences for end customers, and meeting Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and performance commitments. AWS Observability fully integrates with more than 120 AWS services, partners, and a wide range of other third-party observability and cloud management tools that leverage near real-time feeds of AWS-native telemetry to power their platforms.
