Registration is now open for the AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate beta exam. This exam is available to take between November 27, 2023 and January 12, 2024, at the discounted price of USD 75. Registration for the standard version of this exam opens March 2024, and the standard version will be available to take starting April 2024. Along with the launch of this new Associate-level certification, we will be retiring AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty on April 9, 2024.

In October, we launched 13 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including a new learning plan and digital badge for Migration, a new AWS Jam Journey for Game Serverless and Analytics, a free digital course to build generative AI skills with Amazon Bedrock, and a new 12-month, prescriptive virtual training program to build job-ready cloud developer skills called AWS Cloud Institute. And, AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner is now available in Japanese.

AWS Academy provides higher education institutions with a free, ready-to-teach cloud computing curriculum that prepares students to pursue industry-recognized certifications and in-demand cloud jobs. The program recently celebrated reaching one million students worldwide. Today, we cut the ribbon on our first international AWS Skills Center in Cape Town, South Africa, furthering our mission to remove the barriers of access to cloud skills training. The center is designed to deliver free training that helps nontechnical learners build new cloud skills and unlock career options for in-demand tech jobs.
