To offer rugby fans deeper insight into match action than ever before, Six Nations and AWS introduced five new, real-time statistics for the 2020 Championship tournament kicking off on February 1.

The dynamic stats, powered by AWS, use machine learning to help viewers track what’s happening on the pitch including ruck locations and dominant tackles, measure the efficiency of visits to the 22, and evaluate the overall dominance of a team. Fans can use Kick Predictor, supported by AWS Partner Stats Perform, to calculate the likelihood of a successful kick. These new offerings join the seven insights that Six Nations and AWS introduced for the 2019 season, further helping fans better understand the split-second decisions made by the players.
