The COVID-19 pandemic took a heavy toll on students’ mental health and well-being. In fact, a staggering 87 percent of public schools reported that the pandemic had negatively impacted their students’ social-emotional development during the 2021–2022 school year. On September 11, 2024, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch of the Provincial and Municipal Cyber Grant Program across Canada at the AWS Summit in Toronto. Kokomo used Amazon Web Services (AWS) database and analytics tools to create a health-tracking platform that allowed the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the second-largest school district in the US, to cut its costs by 50 percent while improving flexibility and response times.
